I really liked this outdoor spot. They have a good beer selection. The vibe is laid back. I enjoyed talking with Joe, who was bartender. Liked the beachy decor and the music. I would definitely come back

Cute outdoor bar with a good beer selection and draft wines. Limited seating due to size, but they have shade from the sun and a couple of seats at the bar. Could do with a few more fans in the summer. Cash only!

Nice spot went during the week and dident have any food but it was a nice chill spot to hang out and grab a drink. I bet on the weekend it is a bit more active and would try the food.

Outside is cash only. It’s a cute space and fairly family friendly. There are a lot of beers and even rose on tap. This spot is intimate. Don’t bring your friends who are obsessed with cocktails. It’s not that kind of place.
So fun and casual! Outdoors and cash only. Great beer selection!

Best bar in Brooklyn? An absolute gem of the neighborhood offering outdoor seating, a tv, and beer prices that transport you to another place — or another time in the City. Get away from it all as the G flows under your barstool. One of the best neighborhood bars in NYC and I look forward to the season opening every year (May-ish to October-ish). Bring cash and let your day move easy while you revel in the opportunity to tell all your friends that the best $4 beer is made in Rochester but served at GYC!

Been going here since I lived down the street in the mid 2000s. It’s changed and evolved a little over the years, but thankfully it’s still the same character. When it’s open, it signals that the outdoor NYC season is on (May through October). Love hanging out there as it’s a chill atmosphere and beers are cheap and simple food is available. Not many places like this in the city.

Chill vibe, simple place (the name is very tongue in cheek) with nice people.

As an non-resident, GYC is a MANDATORY, multi-time visit whenever in New York/Brooklyn. Perfect outdoor neighborhood bar with great music and low-key television for sports if need be. Jealous of the nearby residents who have GYC in their backyard.
