Gran Eléctrica is a great option if you're looking for something other than the Italian and pizza restaurants that are common by the Dumbo waterfront. I came here for dinner on a Monday night and it exceeded my expectations! The food was great, although everything was priced $3-5 higher than I felt it should've been. The guac was great and the salsa that came with the chips had a nice smokiness as well. I got the chicken quesadilla for my main and the chicken was well seasoned and felt pretty authentic. Someone in my party ordered a side of beans for $9, which felt like an extremely high cost given the portion size. The margarita was solid. A bit overpriced for what you get, but good food nonetheless.

100% recommend! Atmosphere, food, service, cocktails all amazing. The garden out back is the perfect spring/summer hang.

Great Mexican food, amazing mezcal bar, one of the best selections of mezcal in the area.

Lovely experience having a ceviche and some tacos with sangria. The back patio is very nice and was buzzing. Would drop by again for a more fulsome meal.

This place and good food and great atmosphere, but the portions are too small. It's also too loud for dates, you can hear the other person talk without leaning over the table.

I've been in dumbo for a decade. And is this place convenient, sure. Is it fantastic? No. It would be lovely if the menu was updated more regularly. The last menu update occurred which removed the enchiladas; arguably their most authentic cuisine. And replaced with a cheap quesadilla (to cater to tourists surely). Please change up your menu. Please listen to your locals in the area. Please don't judge us when we ask about things on the menu or ask for more chips ;) I still go because it's convenient; but it's by no means the best Mexican fare I've had.

Came here with a big group on a cold night. Perfect place! The drinks were crisp and food was delicious. Queso Fundido here is thick and cheesy goodness; not a runny cheese sauce. Carnitas tacos are ? ? so don’t skip those.

Gran Electrica has decent Mexican food if you're craving it in Dumbo. There's usually not a wait and the ambiance is calming (palo santo burning) with lots of candles and a cool bar area. The service is quick and the cocktails are good. Try the fish tacos, the pork main, and the spicy margarita with habanero. The ceviche was OK.

My wife and I have been coming here for 5 years and the quality has gotten progressively worse over the last year. Not sure if they switched chefs or management but the food is just not as good as it used to be. Great place to grab a drink or chips and salsa. Pricey for the quality.

great margaritas and tacos - don't need to order too much food because you'll leave full! two tacos and some sides were enough - but never enough

The garden is my favorite area. The food is good, but the guacamole is disappointing. Drinks are pretty decent. Service and atmosphere are

Amazing service and friendly people. I chose too sit outside and it was really nice. A ad bit dark so for those who have trouble seeing in the dark might struggle. We went when the sun was already set so it was just the fairy lights but it was still very lovely. The food was pretty good it was really good and came up pretty fast. A tad bit expensive for the portions but it’s definitely a must try.

Checked this spot out for Sunday Brunch and I would say it was worth the trip from Uptown. I shared the Veggie tacos and Veggie Quesadilla for a light but filling meal. We also shared the Kale salad but I wasn't a fan. Get the guacamole! Small serving but it was fresh, topped with pepitas and slices of a spicy little pepper, so good! For drinks I went with a Mezcalita and they did not disappoint! My friend ordered the sangria and enjoyed it as well. They ordered the tres leche dessert and liked the cake but said the topping was sour cream which was a little Ideal location for warmer weather so you can enjoy the neighborhood and get some good photos nearby so definitely going back.

Ambiance, service and the location near st. Ann's warehouse are pluses. What I ordered to eat and drink was disappointing and negative to say the least. The chili rellanos was one indistinguishable chili with tasteless white cheese oozing out into a bowl of tasteless red liquid. The guacamole didn't taste freshly made. The white wine by the glass tasted watered down.
