I highly recommend the Green Valley Market; it is truly a fantastic store. The quality of their produce and meats is consistently excellent. They offer decent prices for their high-quality items and carry just about everything you could need, including a wide selection of organic products. What really sets them apart is their exceptional customer service. They are extremely helpful, and I particularly love that if you are looking for an item they don't currently carry, they will actually order it for you. I also love their little kitten; it adds a unique charm to the market. The store also features excellent prepared food options; their smoothies are delicious, and the food bar (where you can purchase food by the pound, including prepared meats) is great, with very reasonable prices. It's a convenient and high-quality one-stop shop.

We went with our little daughter, who immediately became excited. It's our third week in the US and finally a place with fresh produce, friendly staff and a lot of things she knew from Europe. Staff helped with every little request. Plus the extremely attractive prices. We ended up buying so much we wondered how to carry half a dozen bags home (they even helped with that). To us: the best supermarket in Brooklyn.
