Don't pay with card. They said the buns are $2 each, and charged $3+tax each. You do not see the amount you pay at the terminal. It is not displayed. The buns were were at least 2-3 days old if not older.

Nice little deli. Food is actually seasoned instead of just heated up. Cook says he has around 23 years experience and it shows.

This store is usually great, however, the older guy that usually wears a hat doesn’t know how to make anything on the grill. Sandwiches either look like they were thrown together with anger, lack meat or toppings, or is completely made a different way after having you repeat your order 7-8 times. When you try to raise concern with him, he gets an attitude. Any of the other chefs do pretty great and can hear just fine. It’d be great if they had a consistent chef so there’s a set expectation. Aside from him, the store usually has a lot of my favorite items.
Perhaps bring back the other guy that constantly cuts people off from saying their complete order. You have to repeat it a few times, but he gets it right.

The staff has always been friendly and the place is pretty clean for a bodega. I like to come here. A bee flew into the deli meat display and they took everything out just to get the bee out. That made me happy 😆🤷🏼♀️ There is also a friendly bodega cat.
EDIT: the bodega cat has been missing for about a year. I miss it.
