Pretty great space with a well curated menu of beers and other drinks and a pretty simple but good pizza and other small snack menu.
Beware: they will make you pay for samples, and their pints are served with a 1.5in foam cap (because “thats the way they serve them”, according to the bar tenders). Awesome beer, terrible customer care..
Recommend looking for a less snobbish spot nearby
Edit/Reply: Joe Grimm is bad and wrong for refusing to patrons sample a beer before purchase.
I’ve never been to a brewery that makes you pay for samples. Beer was delicious but service was rude and condescending. Won’t be coming back.
Amazing brews and chill vibes
Amazing brewery and Taproom. I visit every time I am in town and never fails to disappoint.
Vast selection so something for everyone.
Staff couldn’t be nicer.
The best brewery in New York, and worth the 2+ hour commute there and back every time! Huge variety of beer that never disappoints, and love the atmosphere, staff, and of course Simcoe!
Great drinks, kind service, cool place to hangout
Great range of their own beers from easy drinking L/P (necessary thirst quencher after a long walk from KCBC) and some more serious German style. A bunch of sours and ciders, and of course IPAs on draught.
Their only stouts were can and bottle when we visited at the start of Sep, that may be different in winter?
A few non alcoholic beer options and wine too.
Decent food choice as well. From interesting bar snacks, I had the sweet and spicy nuts. And Apizza (New Haven style thin and crispy) with a varied choice of toppings.
best brewery in the city, as far as i'm concerned. fresh, innovative beers. good eats. always an amazing vibe. simcoe. friendly bartenders. joe grimm is the man.
Beer, vibe, sanity all great. And the bartender Stephanie was super nice!!

I came for the cat (Simcoe), stayed for the beer. Great spot, great beer and wine. Pizza was delicious! I’ll definitely be coming back…
Grimm is my favorite brewery in NYC. Their beers and wines are fantastic and the Lala’s pizza is AMAZING 🤤
This is a beautiful space for enjoying some of the best beer in the city.
Legit microbrewery. From what I read online this is the classic place to visit it you're into beer and around NYC, and I can definitely understand why. Stellar beers, great service, and a fun vibe. Love the place
Absolutely incredible beer, one of the absolute top in NYC and Eric made our day, haven’t met someone so passionate and knowledgeable about beer!
