The food was great - Just the right portions. Elaborate cocktails menu and well crafted. The service was friendly and nice. The entire place was lit with candles and provided a cozy atmosphere for a perfect date.
There are a few places in the city I'm always a bit surprised at with how easy it is to snag a reservation. If we're going on merit, Gus's should be a competitive spot to snag dinner. I suppose I'm grateful it's not for selfish reasons, but am happy to have them as a surefire vouch anytime anyone asks for a recommendation.

The green salad was good. Crisp. Fresh. Good flavors. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Great creme fraiche dip.
