Very rude hostess. She rushed us to leave the restaurant immediately after we paid the bill. I guess they are after making as much profit as they can in the few hours they are open

Had an early dinner here with a close friend. My first time having Korean food!! We had the scallion pancakes to start. Light, crispy and fresh.

They asked us to leave after an hour even though we all ordered a main course because we had already paid.

Absolutely delicious. Korean food is my favorite food and I live next to Ktown. I will be coming here for the best Korean food in nyc! We had the crudo, japchae, cod, and bulgogi. Everything was so incredible. Flourless chocolate cake was really good for dessert - the figs were so good on it.

Beautiful spot in Park Slope. This time around I only had a cocktail because of limited time. Our bartender was still training and he was so friendly and knew the menu very well to help make suggestions. My friend and I both loved our drinks, will try the food next time-smelled amazing.

10/10. Appetizers are small but entree portions make up for it. We ordered basically everything on the menu as a party of 7 and everything was delicious. Standouts were the codfish, fundido, bulgogi, sea bass

Wildly overpriced and uneven. Short ribs were so fatty they were inedible. Quite bland as well. Grilled oysters and other seafood (scallops, clams) were overcooked. Potato pancake was just so so. Really disappointing. And, for the price ($90 per person, without any drinks), pretty outrageously so.

3.5... I so badly wanted to love Haenyeo but it was disappointing, especially for how overpriced it is. Probably would give 4 stars if it wasn't so expensive. Btw - a Korean restaurant serving hard/undercooked or old rice is simply disappointing.

Wings - yummy but overpriced. You only get 4 wings.
Gamja buchim - has so much potential but it was under-seasoned.
Daegu jorim - The jorim really delicious but it was served with hard rice. It was so disappointing because with a well cooked bowl of rice, it would have been a 5 star dish. Side dishes were forgettable.

I came here to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the place was super cute and cozy, and the staff was very friendly. The food in my opinion was not great, I'm genuinely surprised they are on the Michelin guide. I felt things lacked flavor and was just very underwhelming for all the great reviews I see. Overall it was a good experience but I wouldn't come back.

First off, let me just say that the food menu is 100% full of winners - you will have a difficult time making a decision for what to order. Bring lots of friends or come often because you really should try it all. If you ordered something and you didn’t like it, it’s just your preference. The chef knows her stuff and is an artist. And being a Michelin Bibb Gourmand spot (congrats on another!), their prices are affordable.

Now to the weakest part of the Haenyeo experience. The whole idea behind the name and philosophy of this place is extraordinary women. Remember this when you interact with the staff. Specifically, there was a young man (a family member perhaps?) who bartends and strolls aimlessly around the dining room when he’s not behind the bar making sub-par cocktails. It looks like he is no longer there, he must’ve gone to college or something, finally realizing he didn’t inherit the family gene for restaurant excellence. But still, pro tip: get wine or beer on the weekends and cocktails when a female bartender is there (she has been there since they opened). Otherwise, the drinks are flat, diluted and seem like they have all been stirred not shaken.

They have updated their uniforms and space and look much more in line with the caliber restaurant they are. Hopefully they keep slaying and shining as I have just moved back to the neighborhood this year and would like to give them more of my money like I used to before Covid.

The portion sizes have shrunken but the prices have gone up. Quality and flavor is still there.

What a fantastic experience!! We entered with high expectations and enjoyed a meal that exceeded them. The food and service were impeccable.

Starters we sampled included the expertly composed Fluke Crudo (which was refreshing and delicious), Gamja Buchim (tuna sashimi on a potato pancake with wasabi-infused sour cream!), Dukboki Fundido (an incredible internationally-influenced dish incorporating Oaxacan cheese and Mexican chorizo alongside thick Asian noodles) and Grilled Oysters (savory and delicious with butter and herbs). All were exceptional.

For entrees, we greatly enjoyed Maine Uni Bibimbap (possibly our favorite dish of the night, absolutely delicious!) and the Bulgogi (some of the best I’ve had anywhere).

Throughout the evening, we tried 3 cocktails: The Squid & The Whale was my first drink of the night, and the sesame oil and egg whites were a fantastic treat for my palate. Drink 2 was Seoul Train, similar to a Manhattan with a clever addition of plum wine. My final drink of the night was the NY Sleepover, a delightful sour topped with a Chianti float.

The desserts are impressive as well — the Beignets were soft, fluffy, fresh, and impossible to deny even with a full stomach. The crème brûlée was a sweet and elegant finish to a perfect meal.

Thanks to the kind and attentive staff, the talented chefs, and everyone who made our meal and evening unforgettable. Park Slope is blessed to have Haenyeo, but diners from all over should make an effort to visit this exceptional restaurant.

As a loyal customer for over a decade I have always enjoyed my experience at Haenyeo. However, my portions were smaller than usual and one of the dishes that I always look forward to was dry, usually comes in a hot pot with sauce and this time was served with barely any sauce and food was not as hot. Upon paying my check shortly after the manager had asked us to move to another table because they had overbooked a table next to us and their party needed more space to sit. I found this to be a poor management approach. I did address my concerns to the manager after he had asked us to move, and there was a lack of acknowledgement. Hoping our experience in the future will be better.
