Saturday at 3pm closed. They list their hours until 5pm, but is not true. I wish they would reconsider opening normal NYC hours. Because is yummy!Tried to order here so many times! But they are never open! Only managed to order here once. Updated from previous review on 2025-09-20

LOVE! The lines are long on weekends as is the wait but it is worth every moment when you sink into their Rainbow Whip - the creamiest, sweetest, most amazing dessert with ice cream-like vibes. But there is no additional sugar added and it's totally clean. I have also had the Pistachio and Cashew Whips - both addictive. Their baked goods are equally excellent - it's hard to find vegan, GF dessert that's also really good. Dying to have a panini but it's always sold out. It's run by two women - sisters - who manage the crowds well. It's hard when you have a throng of hungry, impatient New Yorkers but being there feels homey and cozy. They deserve all the credit they're getting. I hope they expand.

I went in to get the rainbow whip I saw online and took my toddler as a fun date. Fur over $30 with tip, and what we got was a lush of light pink that looked like a smoothie. No rainbow at all.
When I saw a few other girls with this colorful one, I asked and they said they got the rainbow, which is what I ordered. I then asked the woman at the register who told me that in order to get the one you see online you have to ask for the viral version and show a photo. I feel like I just ate a banana smoothie that was not rainbow at all for $20.
So disappointed especially since we live in the neighborhood.

Phenomenal!!!!!! I got a rainbow whip per the cafe owner’s recommendation. It was amazing. Perfect on a hot day.

OMG the fruit whip is sooooooo good. Banana based. Delicious. Heathy. Filling. Clearly fresh made. Feels like you are sitting in a polish grandma’s living room. We shared the 16oz ($17) with 3 people and we were so full and delighted. Everything is vegan. Smoothies, fruit whip, cakes and sandwiches. Run by polish sisters. Kinda slow service but whatever, it’s made with love from scratch.

Wow what an EPIC cake! I threw a surprise bday party for my partner and this cake fed 40-45 people! All my guests were raving about how delicious the cake was! My partner has even enjoyed slices a few days later and is still amazed by how delicious it is! So happy with my ENTIRE experience! This is my go to cake place for life!

THANK YOU!

the kitchen was down so i got a slice of the cheese cake which was very stale and weird on the bottom. Other than that it was okay. My friend got a thing that looked like a donut but tasted disgusting. It also had a stale texture and was filled with something that looked like fruit but wasn’t. The place was crowded too and i was dumbfounded lol.

IN LOVEEEEE with these whips I wish they had better hours and were open more longer!! But be expected to wait 20 mins at least but it’s so worth it, and such a healthy choice.

Happy Zoe, a charming bakery in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, has mastered the art of plant-based pastry while maintaining a flawless NYC Health Department A grade—no small feat. The pastries (raspberry cake, pistachio matcha cheesecake, chocolate cake, raw banana whip) are vibrant, indulgent, and memorable enough to convert skeptics.
Michelin may not yet have a category for vegan bakeries, but Happy Zoe makes a strong case. Exceptional pastries, true hospitality, and a level of care that elevates every visit. I’ll be back—often whenever I’m in the city.

I got the double chocolate cheesecake and it was absolutely delicious. The perfect amount of sweetness and a great texture. I can’t wait to get it again.

I am completely blown away by Happy Zoe Bakery. I had the best slice of cake I have ever had today. It was my first time in so I of course also had to try the banana whips - they were also amazing. You can really taste the quality in all the products she sells. Don’t sleep on the baked goods though. I have had a lot of raw vegan treats, but none compare to the ones at Happy Zoe. I live out of town, but will be back!!

The fruit whip was SO GOOD. I know people said it was overrated but in my opinion it tasted exactly as good as it looked. It did come out to be $19 though… but I shared it with 3 friends so it was only about $5 each. I definitely recommend sharing the fruit whip but boy was it delicious.
