Amazing fun place! Sundays bingo from 4-6. I won a tshirt!

The drinks are excellent and super affordable around $12 for a cocktail, the drink I got was so refreshing and delicious.

I also got the catfish po boy which was piled high. The catfish was so good and flavorful. There was slaw and pickles on it as well and the tots had a Cajun seasoning to them. Everything was fried perfectly, i did not feel gross after at all. It was a huge serving and tasted so fresh and delicious.

Bartenders and staff are so nice and welcoming. I wish I lived in Brooklyn! Would come here more often.

This is my favorite bar in bushwick, the best bartenders. Would give five stars but they nixed the jambalaya a year or so ago and I’ve never been the same.

Heavy Woods is a staple of the Bushwick neighborhood. Local dive bar with always super friend staff. The owners are a lovely friendly couple.
For a simple bar, the food is legit.
Pool table in the back, and a patio as well.

Such a nice spot for some great quality bar food and drinks. I highly recommend all people to check it out. They also have a backyard!!

Service? I don’t think so! Atmosphere? Nonexistent. Food? What food? Instead we were faced with attitude. And the white women told us to leave the outside benches, we got there 1 min before open. We were looking for a refreshment on a 100 degree day. Why deprive yourself of business?

I used to love this place! It was my favorite restaurant in the area and I have so many good memories here with friends. It’s definitely changed and it’s more of a dive bar now. The food has gone down in quality but it’s still doable. But the service is pretty bad. The last few times I went, I was treated like garbage. It’s almost like the nicer you are, the more they hate you. Considering they’re serving food, I just can’t accept that. The bartender was hammered and it was like 3pm… just not a good look for a restaurant. For a dive bar? Sure. But i just can’t accept this environment for a restaurant. There’s just too much competition in the area. Also, the booths were dirty and the bathroom as absolutely filthy. And the whole place smelled horrible.

It’s a shame because it was my favorite place for over 10 years but I’ll probably just never go back.

Just wanted to say I hated wasting 27 dollars in this place for a awful burger that I couldn’t eat and a seltzer with cranberry.

The prices don’t match the quality, this place it’s cool to just get drunk and play pool with friends, the staff is okay not so attentive, looks like they dislike working there.

There’s way better options for you buck in the area.
