The Ale House is a great place to go to have a few beers by yourself at the bar or with friends. It has a great selection—I'm partial to IPAs, and what's on offer changes frequently. The staff I know—the bartender Frank, the server Renae, and Eugene, who does both—are fine people and very friendly. This place has the best fried chicken sandwich in Brooklyn. It’s thin and very crispy. Always consistent, been ordering it for years even after I moved to a new neighborhood. Highly recommend!
Henry Street Ale House is such a great place to just chill and have a few beers. It's got the exact right vibe as far as what I'm looking at for a bar. All the staff I talked to were super interesting and engaging. Plus, as you can see, a perfect Guinness pour!
