Place is amazing. Great bagels, Nice people, and enjoyable Atmosphere. They have variety of cream cheese and other sandwich options on their menue. While the space is limited the food isn't! Only downside is no restroom to wash your hands.

Amazing bagels been coming here since im 8years old in the 90’s it was slamming and open 24/7 was awesome late night bagels always fresh egg bagel with munster cheese and lettuce tomatoe lightly toasted super deliciouse great spot glad the still open after 40 years check them out friendly staff thank you 🙏🏽 bagels always fresh and sandwich are off the chart 🙏🏽

I’m very disappointed with my experience at this bakery. Yesterday my child bought food and a salad here, and she became ill afterward, which raises serious concerns about food safety and sanitation.
I also personally observed staff handling food with bare hands, then taking cash and giving change, and returning to food preparation without washing their hands or putting on gloves. This kind of practice is extremely concerning and, in my opinion, poses a real health risk.
I believe this place should be checked for proper hygiene and food safety standards. Customers may want to be cautious when choosing to eat here.

I walked in on Christmas Day, waiting for my food on the side. A woman walked in holding a bunch of baby clothes. She asked a worker if she can have a bag, like a paper or plastic bag. The worker said yeah, for 50 cents!! That was so greedy. It’s a paper bag, and clearly something happened like her baby pooped and needed to change clothes. It was also Christmas Day. I just thought it was super disrespectful and greedy. The way workers treat people is everything. My bagel was good though

Walked in for the first time to take an order the guy was RUDE. I asked him where do I order he said “RIGHT HERE WHOSE NEXT?” I said can I get an everything bagel cream cheese? He said “WHAT ELSE?” In the most weirdest tone ever!! It wasnt even crowded or loud either. I walked out so fast. There’s a million bagel places in brooklyn I don’t need to spend my money with people who don’t want it haha!

This place is not sanitary. I just got a bagel with butter and it's NOT butter! They use margarine. They touch food with their hands and sweat over them!!! Dripping into cream cheese. The place used to be more palatable, but now the counter people are rude and terrible service the minute you walk in.
The most expensive bagels on the planet. Next time Im going to Canes Chicken for a complete meal with way better prices.

Due to illness, we were unable to attend services for a very dear friend who passed away suddenly. We wanted to do a little something special for the family, who reside in Brooklyn, which also included our relatives who were visiting.
My husband searched and found Highway Bagels! What a great find this was!
With the help of Vincente who took our phone call with patience and kindness, he helped them create a delicious breakfast for 12, which included their fabulous bagels, a platter of lox and whitefish salad, and two varieties of cream cheese. Everything was delivered right on time, and they even attached a personal note we had written to the family.
My niece informed me that her husband, who is mourning the loss of his wonderful father, as well as his aunt (both longtime Brooklyn residents) enjoyed everything so much that they wrote down Highway Bagels information as a great place to eat-in, takeout, or use for a delivery.
There may be bigger restaurants all over New York, but Brooklyn's Highway Bagels should not be missed. It's a real gem! Delicious food, staff who will go to the max to serve, and an owner who really cares about their customers!
