made a reservation and is confirmed. Yet when we arrived the restaurant is closed. No email sent or any kind of communication. Very bad experience

I traveled far and arrive at 3:30pm, they were not open. The website and google said it was open at 3. Try to call restaurant and no answer phone. Very frustrating and waste of time.

Every bite was so flavorful and made with the highest quality ingredients. It’s easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in history.

Hiyake delivers on quality and flavor. Don’t miss this new dining experience.

It was such a great experience. Their seasonal snow crab menu is next level. I never had crab leg sashimi before and it was way better than I thought. Everything was fresh and seasoned perfectly. We also added a wagyu short rib and it just melted in my mouth, so so good.

Waited for this place an extra hour in this area for a late lunch, but they didn’t open even though their schedule on the door shows they will open at 3 PM.

We visited for their Snow Crab Course but left deeply disappointed. The food quality was poor, and most courses were served out of order. Surprisingly, the hotpot arrived before several other dishes, even though it’s traditionally served last, just before dessert.

In the middle of the meal, the waiter tried to tell us that the shiso tempura and crab leg tempura were a single course, despite being listed separately on the menu. After raising this issue, they eventually served them as two courses, but the experience left a sour taste.

The restaurant did offer complimentary Wagyu to make up for the situation, and after I complained about the sea urchin portion was minuscule comparing to the pictures posted on the Chinese social media app xiao hong shu, but we declined. After such a disappointing experience with the Snow Crab Course, we didn’t expect the Wagyu to be any better. Moreover, we wanted to share this review without any contingencies.

Service was slow, likely due to understaffing, but that’s no excuse for attempting to mislead customers. Overall, the dishes were really unremarkable, and the disorganized management only added to the frustration. The servers were cordial, and the bathroom was clean were the only reasons that I gave two stars.

P.s while we were there, there are two other tables having the same snow crab course were also complaining about the food and the slow service. I believe one of the tables accepted the complimentary Wagyu and the other table accepted a discount on their bill.

Had a great night here, the owner was very hospitable and it was a great experience. I highly recommend the Hiyake Kani Set, it's great value for money!

I brought a group of 6 guys here and we enjoyed all the food. This is a lovely place.

More importantly, the people who work here are kind. I tripped down the stairs next door and was bleeding from a deep cut in my hand. Someone who works here - I think he said his name was Ben? - immediately rushed outside, helped me pick up my things, pulled me into the restaurant's washroom, and dressed my wound. I couldn't believe it. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Service was late and there seem not to be enough waiters. We had someone cooking our meat for us that just left and our meat ended up being burnt twice - would have preferred to be explained to do it ourselves. We were then scolded because the meat was overcooked. Bad service overall.
