Got food poisoning from this place after ordering the gyro sandwich. Was in the bathroom and was throwing up nonstop the whole day. This was the only thing I ate the whole day so it couldn’t be anything else. Not sure what exactly in the sandwich caused this. The vegetables did look suspiciously old/not fresh. Be cautious.

Consistently delicious
Once I found out about this gem, I came back every week. The customer service is always friendly, helpful and warm. BUT THE FOOD THOUGH…. 🤤. They have great options and each of their dishes have not disappointed. The ambience is clean, quaint and relaxed. Great for a meetup, a break or to go on your own and get some work done. Love this place

One of the perfect places to eat chicken shawarma with a beer after a long day of work.
You won’t regret it.

I love this place. The food is incredibly well seasoned, fresh, and tasty. Their chicken shawarma is by far my favorite in Brooklyn. The employees are also very nice and welcoming.

The Iraqi sandwich on the Malawach bread is the beat thing I have ever eaten. I travel all the way from Harlem (over an hour) for this thing!

I came to Holy Pita and ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, and wrapped in fresh pita with all the right toppings. Every bite was full of flavor.
The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was fast. The restaurant itself is clean and has a great, casual vibe.
If you’re in the mood for authentic Mediterranean food, this is the spot. The chicken shawarma alone is worth the trip!

Response to owner:
You must have me confused with someone else and that is very concerning. This was my first time ordering from this restaurant so I could not have made previous refund requests. Also, the hair is not even close to the same color or texture as mine. As of now, I still have it. Would you like me to bring it so you can see for yourself?
I ordered delivery through one of the apps. My food arrived sealed and untampered with. As I was eating my falafel I discovered a hair that had definitely been in the falafel batter when it was cooked. After reporting the issue and getting a refund; I attempted to eat the remaining falafel because I was out $50 for my meal and still hungry… I didn’t think I would find more hair. The very next falafel I tried to eat had a hair in it!! There is something really wrong going on in their kitchen if that is what comes out of it.
