Everything was beautifully cooked. Some Japanese colleagues in town, we enjoyed ourselves across much of the menu. The highlights were the beef rib, collard greens and brisket. Highly recommend.

The closest thing to Texas bbq I’ve found in nyc and I’m so grateful for it. Bbq is one of my favorite food groups and this place does not disappoint. Now that I’ve tried it, I’m going to be trekking my ass from the UWS monthly to get my mouth on some brisket to say the least.

This place was rated the number one BBQ spot in the area, so we made the trip out from downtown Brooklyn expecting something special. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing BBQ experiences I’ve had.
The brisket was shockingly dry, so much so that I didn’t even bother finishing it. The regular spare ribs were not much better. The cornbread was excellent, I’ll give them that, but the mac and cheese was completely forgettable.
For brisket, spare ribs, a small mac and cheese, and cornbread, the total came out to 67 dollars. For that price, the quality was nowhere near acceptable. Definitely not worth the trip or the hype.

So after a morning of Ikea, my husband and I decided to forgo the meatballs and have BBQ instead. My husband said he's been to Homertown before and that the line was a 1.5 hour wait. Naturally, I was excited. We got there on a chilly Friday afternoon and there was no wait. The staff here seems really nice and patient and seem like they won't rush you along if you get to the front and aren't fully sure. I ended up settling on a pulled pork sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. My husband ordered the Korean ribs, brisket, coleslaw and the Vietnamese wings to split. So I have to say the wings were fire but everything else seemed mediocre. In fact, I really hated the mac and cheese. I didn't try my husband's wings and brisket but he said the brisket was also nothing special but the Korean ribs were good. I tried his coleslaw and it was also mediocre. We did order ciders and the dry cider paired well with the salty meal. I do appreciate that they have a station set up that makes packing your unfinished food very convenient, including little sauce cups incase you want to take some sample of their BBQ sauce home with you. Overall, I did give this place 4 stars because of the staff but I would not say that the food is 4 stars. If I had to wait 1.5 hours in line, definitely not worth it.

I went here December 2024 last year and the food was much better and the brisket had tons of flavor. The meat was very noticeably pink and had salt flakes sprinkled on so each bite was amazing. I went today and the brisket was overcooked to CONGRATULATIONS instead of pink. It was gray literally everywhere and there was no tenderness at all. My girlfriend got sick because of the meat. There was barely any flavor and they usually sprinkle salt flakes onto the meat but they didn’t. Mac and cheese was still good as usual, but the brisket was extremely disappointing.

Ordered the spare ribs and beef rib. It was good but the beef rib was a little bit pricy.

Food is overrated, very very very very very very bad service..We ordered a drink while standing in a queue for almost an hour, the guy in charge to bring the drinks completely ignored us for 2 turns I had to remember him that we ordered and already paid for a beer and a frozen margarita... beer and margarita were left it on the counter for more than 20 min ( margarita was threw back in the mixer machine and replace with a shitty watery one). Unbelievable what a guy! I had no words and l keep waiting to see if the experience was getting any better but unfortunately not. I do not recommend this place at all. NY is huge and with better place than this.

The sides are ok but the pastrami bacon and sticky ribs are delicious. The price is steep but worth it for a special occasion.
