Used to absolutely love their hummus and would order it often for delivery. They slapped a big delivery fee on orders and I stopped getting it but was thrilled to see the delivery fee gone today so re-ordered. Waited 90 minutes for my food and the hummus quality has gone down massively. It was so salty in was rendered totally inedible. An absolutely ridiculous amount of salt. Took one bite and couldn’t force myself to eat another. Really disappointed to see this happen to what used to be such an amazing place…apparently there are new owners now.
Best shawarma in NY.

Since I stumbled upon this place I'll consider it a great find. It is great and I'm very glad the I found it while waiting for the B6 on Ave J. The falafel on pita was great because it was stuffed to the top with fresh ingredients including purple cabbage and hummus. We they asked if I wanted it spicy they weren't joking. It was spicy but not too much. This is not a fancy place so the focus is on the fantastic Israeli cuisine. That's my main impression, keep the food fresh and full of flavor. And that's why I plan to return anytime possible.

Best falafel sandwich in town! Totally worth the 25+ minute trip to get here, despite many similar options closer to me. Delicious food! That’s what you’re there for. Everything tastes fresh and flavorful. Dining in option is not really a highlight, as the place gives off an ambiance of a fast food restaurant. Thankfully the high quality food they offer, does not match the atmosphere. Service is always friendly and fast paced.

Best kosher Shawarma I’ve had outside of Israel, even though kosher shawarma outside of Israel is decent. This place stands out, fantastic quality, popping flavors, tender enough, doesn’t fall apart. Definitely hits the spot and leaves me with a little dance and a “that was sick”, but of course doesn’t follow me into my dreams as an Israeli shawarma would. It’s even good as takeout when not hot, which is incredibly rare for shawarma. A little expensive though, so might not warrant a solo lunch. I still regret ordering it to the office. Definitely a dinner with friends though.
We picked up two beef and lamb shawarma pitas and they were unbelievable. Pretty expensive for shawarma, but you get your moneys worth — the pita was filled to the brim with a ton of meat. Delicious.

The guy behind the counter barely looked up and took the order. Not welcoming at all.rhe turkey was rotally dry and they didn’t even offer chicken. Very disappointing for almost $50 for two things. Gross.

I haven’t tried a sabich like this in a long time in New York. Unmatched with Taim. Everything from the ingredients including the pita bread and dips/sauces tastes fresh and delicious, not dried or burnt to the crisp at all.

My wife and I have a very good experience at Hummus Bar. Their food is so delicious. Their shawarma is really, really good, so as the other food. Food is fresh, their service is supper friendly. Here's the kicker, their french fries and falafel balls is gluten free.
Gluten free people, go check out this place.
It feels sitting in an Israeli restaurant in the food is delicious
