when this place opened the baristas were great - past 6 months the quality of drinks and service has plummeted. If you're coffee-first, save yourself and go to beanmonger
Nice coffee spot. Good location, coffee and service. Clean and calm place to enjoy your cup of coffee and look outside through the windows.

I just love reading the poor reviews. You guys are hysterical. Complaining that there is no outlets to do “work”. It’s a coffee house not a sit on my but for a few hours and play around. Maybe other people want to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. I’m glad there are no dogs aloud. They have a dog on the logo, so if they had a pig I could bring one in. You’re in Parkslope people it’s going to be a bit expensive. there is so much more but if you don’t like the business leave and don’t go back, why trash it? Also, the people who wrote poor reviews. Did you actually go back and tell them your grievances before reviewing this establishment?

The staff here are terrible. They aren’t friendly and are often untrained. The coffee is just marked up stumptown. I hope they give this amazing location to a business that cares.

Their brand logo is a *dog* but they were weird about mine being in the store for a quick takeaway order. Otherwise, great coffee.

Stella behind the counter was great but I think it’s very strange that there are NO OUTLETS

Pastries are amazing and the matcha is great. The espresso tastes burnt though. The atmosphere is really nice.

My girlfriend and I are long time customers at this Hungry Ghost location and are usually very happy with our experience. Today, however, I waited about 20 minutes for two whole milk flat whites before I was finally asked what I was waiting for. I let them know I was waiting for two whole milk flat whites and the barista gave a somewhat annoyed look and began making them. Just to be certain they heard me, I specified whole milk one more time before she began making them. She then called out two oat milk flat whites and handed them to me and when I told her it was supposed to be whole milk she started laughing. By this point I really didn't feel like sticking around any longer so I took my incorrect order and left. Super disappointing experience and remarkably rude customer service from a shop that we usually love.

Great drip coffee (Stumptown beans), welcoming atmosphere and friendly baristas. A special thanks to the staff for accommodating my service dog in-training and me for the past 9 months. The puppy is part of the largest service dog training organization in the country and will someday work with a person in a wheelchair or a veteran with PTSD or a child with autism. It might seem like a passive activity for him to sit quietly in a cafe, but it's crucial training for him to learn from a very young age to be still at the side of his handler. It's also a part of his socialization training to interact calmly with kids. My husband and I will soon be saying a tearful goodbye to the puppy as he enters formal professional training. His time spent at Hungry Ghost has been a huge and helpful part of his development. You have my deepest appreciation, thank you!

At lease he’s try to make me Green tea latte. So basically jasmine tea bag+hot water+steamed milk 🥰 Thanks you
Lovely cafe! Layout is great, chai and cookies are good, and the baristas are super nice. Will say I wish the alternative milks were 50 cents or free instead of a dollar, especially because the drinks are already on the more expensive end and there are no outlets lol. Appreciate how kid friendly it is tho :)

Booo. To think a place like this, one of the few coffee shops in park slope large enough to accommodate folks looking for a third place to do some work, would be hostile enough to not only not install any outlets but to ACTIVELY COVER UP previous places where outlets once were is upsetting. After spending $7 on a latte (which was good, credit to the barista) I found out I would be unable to actually stay and work in this coffee shop due to the outlet situation. I asked the barista about it to which they explained it was an intentional choice to dissuade people from overstaying their welcome...Shame on the owner. And because there was nothing I could do, the only thing that came to mind was to write this google review.

For a7$ latte- they can at least try getting the order right… barista was clearly sick with a cold while serving with no mask. Served me some sweet drink I did NOT order.
