I love this spot, I’ve been coming here for years. This is the only Jamaican restaurant that I will eat from. It is extremely clean and they are very strict when it comes to cleanliness and I love that. You are required to sanitize your hands and wear gloves that they provide before touching any of the utensils. The food is always excellent and it’s been consistent throughout the years. The customer service has improved ALOT and I was glad to see that on my last visit. I highly recommend.

So I went in to purchase a large chicken soup in which I paid $10 for. I get home to eat my soup and notice that there’s not chicken and just vegetables. I called the restaurant and spoke with somebody who told me that the restaurant was only shreds of chicken and not full pieces. I then proceeded to let her know that I emptied the whole soup out and didn’t see any shreds of chicken just vegetables. She then proceeded to ask me did the cashier let me know that there wasn’t any full pieces of chicken and I let her know that she did not. I than proceed to ask would I be able to come in and get a new soup because I didn’t come all the way there to pay $10 for a chicken soup with no chicken. She then proceeded to let me know there wasn’t any full nothing they could do and no one was willing to help me. Do not buy anything here. I use to come here for years and it is not the same. I was very unsatisfied with the purchase and no one wanted to refund me or give me a new soup after I told her I would return the soup even though I lived almost 2 hours from the restaurant.

I love a buffet I can hit the lottery and still want to go to a buffet the next day. Everytime I return to New York I make it my business to come here sometime during the week to get a plate of food. The food is excellent---the jerk is jerking, the mac & cheese is cheesing, and the oxtails are falling off the bone. Are the staff the nicest? Ehhhhhhhnnn I feel like a real authentic jamaican/carribean spot it's expected for the staff to be spicy. To be quite frank if the staff is not as spicy as my food I don't want it. That's just me. From what I understand they have recently changed the pricing so I know people are pissed off about that.

WARNING ⚠️ AVOID ON TUESDAY & THURSDAY GREG is the best cook & he works Monday & Wednesday. The Tuesday/Thursday team is disrespectful & food is horrible. Liver should NOT be watery & tough especially if it’s in gravy. The nasty food on Tuesday/Thursday is a reflection of the rude/disrespectful shorter lighter skin cook. He had the nerve to say “Yo” it’s excuse me because my name ain’t YO.
No gospel playing Tuesday & Thursday hints why the food is nasty. Meanwhile gospel is always playing Monday & Wednesday

This place has become a total rip off for the smallest plate u can possibly make they want what the simpson or foot prints charges for their largest Plates 4 really tiny pieces of oxtail barely any meat on the bones and 2 small spoons of rasta pasta I talking I will never return to this place all jamaica 🇯🇲 restaurant are expensive but thus place is just outrageous

One of my favorite Jamaican spots in Brooklyn. Everything is delicious. Great selection of food. Even the desert.
The customer service completely ruined the experience. The older woman working behind the register, the cashier, was extremely rude and dismissive, very nasty. Made the whole interaction uncomfortable. It wasn’t just a bad day—it felt like this was her normal attitude. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you value being treated with basic respect as a customer.

I went to Hunter Spice Grill for the first time this afternoon. The Okra really good, string beans really good and garlic, callaloo really good, fried chicken really good, green banana really good, jerk chicken really good. I will be back tomorrow. Food is EXCELLENT.

The meal are very expensive and very salty. They need to use less salt. Salt and sugar is what Killin g people. If we're paying so much for the meal, we should able to enjoy it.
