What a horrible experience. The food was so bad, it was not edible. It seems the restaurant has new owners and the food is unrecognizable. The typical food we order, had to be thrown away bc it was disgusting. Portions were also small. Shrimp dishes had very few and tiny shrimp. Chicken dishes were greasy with no chicken. Saag paneer had no cheese. It was also pureed with a blender. Just gross!!!!
Then, the owner agreed to refund. But lied and lied and never refunded. Go anywhere but there. Gross, greasy, disgusting, inedible food. Also, the restaurant had a bad hygiene rating and was closed for several
Weeks. Be careful. You can get sick.

Editing my review here because owner threatened me not to pay my wages (i haven't got any though) if I don't give good review to the restaurant. She was getting a lot of negative review since she reopened her restaurant which was closed by health department for almost a month.

I love this place everyone is super nice and the food is really well priced! Good neighborhood Indian food! Whenever my boyfriend is in town (from Indian) we come here.

This is a beautiful restaurant with excellent Indian food at very good prices. Recently we had the lamb vindaloo and the chicken saag. But they were having a serious service problem. The server could not speak or understand English so we had to communicate by pointing at the menu (and still didn't get everything we ordered), the credit card machine wasn't working properly, and we had to repeatedly ask for water, the check, and even a bag to carry out our leftovers. It made a lovely meal into a marginal experience.

I am editing my original review based on my dining experian today. My family and I have been going to this restaurant for almost 10 years. I would always classify it as nothing fancy but really good and fresh food and service.

While some change is good over time, the latest is not. I am guessing they are under new management/ownership since no one from the staff that had been there for years is there and the food is different and not for the better.

They seem to be using cheaper out of the box products and sauces, while charging more than the previous owners. The food lacks flavor and texture, the service staff is friendly but is struggling to manage the operations considering there was only 2 other people in the restaurant.

I post this to ensure folks understand the changes and to express to the new owners that they have lost a long time patron.

Completely Overrated - I expected much more. It’s just overpriced fast food in a fancy setting.

This place use to be good but now it feels dirty and rundown. Sometimes they are not open when they say they are online. We have tried to order a few times and been told the kitchen is under renovation. If that’s true, why are they open? I’m not sure what’s going on but this place seems to have gone from good to terrible.

I will never order from this place again and highly recommend no one else does either. We ordered from here through seamless at 6:15. It’s currently 7:54 and we still don’t have our food and every time they call they say 5 minutes and go on about how they have so many orders and are understaffed. The absurdity of complaining to a customer that you are incompetent and can’t do your job is insane. There has been no offer of a refund or anything else and no doubt our order will be cold as they said an hour ago it was about to leave with the delivery guy. Had they called and told us when they got the order that it was going to be longer than expected we could have picked it up. We are 2 blocks away.

The food arrive just after 8pm and they forgot the rice.

I’ve eaten at and ordered take out from Indian Spice for a good amount of time. Over 50 times. Recently they were closed for about a month for renovations, but I could not tell that was case last night when I stopped in and ordered take out. I could not see any apparent renovations at all.

To me, it appears there is a change of management and kitchen staff. I could not understand why my order took close to 1 hour to make. And when I got the food, it was lukewarm and not as tasty as it should have been. I overheard the girl tell the delivery person to hold up with delivering one of his take out order, as another one was coming out. As long as I waited for my order, the delivery person waited even longer before his 2nd take out came out. You can image how cold his first take out delivery was by the time he delivered the food to the customer.

I told the girl Indian Spice will lose their customers if food takes 1 hour to prepare. She apologized, but seems did not care.

There are many other Indian restaurants to go to. Indian Spice is off my matrix.

Always so good and the chicken is always so fresh. Especially love the tandoori or mango chicken. Order from here to go alll the time and its always perfect and fast. Also love the saag paneer here. I hope they are done with renovations soon.

Horrible. It used to be great years ago but the latest meal tasted like it was all made by someone who never cooked before.
