They close at 8pm but it’s says 9 here. I left my job and painstakingly ran here, got here at 8:05pm and the man said they’re closed:(. And I work and live so far away. I feel terrible

The lady at the front was really friendly and made us up a plate right away, rice with chicken was about $20 for a big portion. PSA the chili jerk sauce is spicy! Next time may try without sauce

Chicken was amazing , some of the best in the area and I’ve tried a bunch. The problem is their system … 50 minutes for a small chicken order???? Clearly y’all need to buy another drum, hire another set of hands and figure something out. It’s just sad that business in the community run this way and when more gentrified fast casual options pop up people complain… the food is good but they have to do better they don’t community on wait time , who is where in line, and then when you get to the digital register for some reason the slow cashier still has to calculate it on a calculator….. then punch it in the DIGITAL IPAD. Mi seh hungry did a kill me , if they lady who jerk the chicken ain’t come out with a foil of festival and gave it to us standing on the line… in the non air conditioner cramped space.. for free , a bbc would’ve probably slipped out kmt. Do better … this had the potential to be great.

Food is super good, service is horrible, horrible, horrible, the lady in the counter was getting mad for no reason, the time to get the food was long….2 stars overall for their bad customer service….felt like I wasn’t welcome there.

The jerk chicken taste good 8 out of 10 on the chicken, but the rice have no taste. It’s bland 1 out of 10 on the rice … The place needs an upgrade and they can work on the customer service for sure … Jah bless no mahn curse

Having lived in Brooklyn for over a decade, I’ve had my fair share of jerk chicken, from various places - hole in the walls, fancy restaurants, carts, and of course, backyards. Hits and misses. I have my one sacred, tried and true jerk chicken spot that never fails me. However, I saw this place as I was walking to my job and I decided to give them a try. One of the best decisions I’ve made all year.

The jerk chicken here is incredible. Watching them cook it up fresh was a unique experience while the chef was detailing the history of the restaurant and how amazing the price and portion you actually get for it. Little did I know, the chef, a lovely and kind Bajan woman would be cooking up one of the best bites I’ve had all year.

Don’t know where you’ll get that amount of chicken for $7, and a free slice of bread? Which seems to be a lost relic for jerk spots nowadays. It’s hard to beat that value, especially in this financial climate.

The chicken itself was tender, yet cooked through with that traditional grill texture but still moist. The meat was flavorful and had that classic char but it did not carry a BURNT flavor. One thing that did set them apart from all the other jerk spots I’ve been too? The sauces. I forgot to count, but I believe they had over 10 different sauces. I rarely put sauce on my jerk chicken, cause in my opinion, the best jerk chicken has no sauce. All the flavor should come from the meat and seasonings. But I couldn’t resist. All in all.. this might be my new favorite spot. Even though I did cover it in 3 different sauces.. the flavor was still there.

I plan to come back, for the large next time and I’ll cover half in sauce and leave the other half dry.

Long story short…One of the best pure jerk chicken spots in ALL of NY. Please give these great people a try!

I visited this jerk spot after seeing so many glowing reviews, but I was extremely disappointed. The cleanliness of the restaurant was questionable from the moment I walked in. The chicken was undercooked and completely lacked flavor on its own, it relied entirely on the sauce to have any taste. On top of that, the portion was mostly just bones with very little actual meat. I will not be returning, and I’m honestly hoping I don’t end up sick after this experience.

Delicious jerk chicken! Spice level, color and flavor was top tier! I wish I could've gotten more before leaving town but I will definitely be back to try their other options.
