For a small bakery they have a decent amount to choose from along with some healthy options as well.

Now that they snipped half of it's width the place is crammed and tight.Added 2 yrs later: yes, that's true, although took 2 years instead of 4 month the store received a facelift and looks much better than it was before but the designer screwed up on an important issue: the long and main counter that welcomes the customers has many trays full of merchandise totally uncovered! How could a professional miss such an item? Now they are throwing an ugly plastic film on top of the counter that looks very cheaply improvised but at least people don't cough and salivate on top of all those cookies.Let's hope they will improve the issue professionally. I keep enjoying my shopping at Isaacs despite everything.

Looks like Isaac's Bakery has moved one store over into a new, shiny location. It no longer has that old Jewish bakery feel like the former shop, but the chocolate babka is still dynamite. Get the babka.

Just so everyone's aware, this place finally got a major indoor facelift. It looks gorgeous inside and there are more bakery items on the menu!

Good bakery in Midwood that is right near Di Fara for that sweet post pizza pickup. Everything tastes homemade with a special quality that only a Jewish bakery can provide. Jewish bakeries are dying in NYC, so it is nice to find one that still fills the Hamantashen and Linzer tarts with real jelly and a black and white cookie with the real frosting (remember to get a bit of both sides with each bite). Do not expect them to be open on Saturday. Jewish bakeries often are not. Otherwise, look to the cookies here.

Saw this spot on the Travel Channel for the Chocolate Babka. Walked in & saw bread, cakes, cookies, pies, pastries everywhere-where to start? Overwhelming in a good way! I asked about the Babka & was surprised by the full loaf (as expecting a slice or smaller portion). Ok, full Loaf it is! Dark chocolate with a touch of cinnamon swirled into that Brioche dough-Issac's version didn't disappoint! What else should I try? Apricot (also had Plum) Hamantaschen-buttery cookie with an Apricot middle and an Apple Turnover (can't remember the name) -filled with apples and sugar dusting-both were excellent! Would have got more to try but the Babka loaf was already more than enough. The kind Gentleman that helped me was engaging and patient with my questions which was much appreciated. If you're in Midwood, don't miss this gem and Travel Channel favorite that lives up to the hype!

I went here to get one thing and one thing only, their legendary Chocolate Babka and I wasn't disappointed. It was absolutely amazing, light and moist and very decadent chocolate throughout.

Delicious tasty and always fresh. The babka is truly delectable nothing else can beat it. They also know how to make my favorite thing the right way nobody else makes the lace cookies the same.

For those people who complain on bad service, I have to disagree. The old chap was super nice and treated me with utmost respect.12 bucks for a choc babka isn't so bad considering its size.. I would highly recommend this place.
