This place has terrible coffee and somehow even worse service. The barista was rude and spilled my entire coffee order on my white dress. The owner refused to get it dry cleaned after, basically telling my partner I’m out of luck and to go home and hand wash it. Surprise, that was not enough to get out the 12oz of coffee on my dress.

Awesome coffee, great staff. Just a great place to hang out for a bit, chat with locals, and pet ppl’s dogs.

Best coffee in Brooklyn, if not NYC. I almost want to gatekeep but I won’t, everyone should experience this place!!

Not sure if this place is only friendly to regulars or certain demographic, but my experience was not so friendly with the younger female staff. They were chatting constantly with I guess “regulars” and kinda ignored me at first. Definitely an unpopular opinion based on all the other positive reviews here, but unfortunately not my experience.

A really quaint neighborhood spot in a garage. Great in the summertime to sit and stay awhile.

$14.50 for a toastie that was supposed to include pickles, poblano peppers, and greens. There were no peppers and only 3 slices of pickle. Not to mention this sandwich used to come with bacon and now it doesn’t, but the price is still the same. Super disappointing.

Such A great place with runner and stone pastries and a commitment to no waste. My to-go cup is compostable and the coffee is good too

I was refused service. Once a month they will only serve you only if you bring your own container or used one of their donated mugs. I told the worker I didn't bring a mug and I did not want to use the ones they offered. I don't feel comfortable using a random mug. These mugs are not behind the counter, they are out in the open for anyone to touch. The worker just kept saying something like 'we are asking everyone to use reusable mugs today'. He didn't read the room and realize I didn't want to use and of those disgusting mugs. He didn't budge, just kept staring at me with a smirk. I guess he felt it was more important to refuse to comply. He was obviously not the owner because a business owner would understand that it's easier to sell me a coffee in a disposable cup because
1. you are losing a sale and
2. you are losing a repeat customer who works close by and
3. this customer told all her coworkers not to buy coffee at this place.
But I guess its better to just keep repeating 'we are asking everyone to use reusable mugs today'.

The espresso is very smooth and delicious. The 2 dollar up charge for Almond milk is a little much. But over all, worth it.

Maybe I got the wrong order, but the iced matcha had no flavor and the gf vegan cinnamon bun was hard and inedible. Not for me. But people had some toasts they ordered that looked yummy.
