The food is awesome, they have something for everybody to eat whether you like traditional food, seafood or even vegetarian. The staff is always lovely when I go there and they have creative meals on the menu as well. The Fat Bwoy Patties are a must try!!

The plantains were very dry, not sweet at all, the codfish fritters were horrible!!! Onions and breading not an ounce of codfish...bang bang shrimp were ok. Very disappointed. I've had food from this place when they first opened in my neighborhood (RedHook) the food was excellent. During covington the food was excellent. Today I'm very disappointed 😞 Don't EVER order from this place!!!

I stopped by the Jamit Bistro today for what was supposed to be authentic Jamaican food. There was nothing “Irie” about this food. This restaurant is Ja-fake-an not Jamaican. The owner of this restaurant is conning her customers with polite words while she places your orders in the bag. Customers are distracted by the politeness while she passes poorly made food that she is passing off as authentic Jamaican food. My jerk chicken was rotisserie chicken on a bed of Jasmin rice. I thought something was alittle off when the kitchen which was visible did not have the usual Jamaican aromas when I walked in. Instead the woman who took our orders wrote down our orders and passed it to a woman who came out of the kitchen with our plates already sealed. Once we stepped out of the restaurant we noticed the coco bread we ordered was actually a bag of refrigerated coco bread that looked like a BJ’s bag of bread. There wasn’t a hint of scotch bonnet peppers, jerk seasoning, oxtail gravy etc… in any of our plates.The rice was just rice not a pea anywhere. Bypass this restaurant if you want anything Caribbean.
