Jean Danet Pastry Shop and Caffe'

Bought 3 different pastries including a cake slice and muffin and all were extremely stale. Even after putting in the oven the cake slice was frozen inside. I understand things may not move fast, but as a fresh bakery with higher end cake and pastry costs, customers should be given fresh items.

We had a cheesecake,and an eclairs here.
It was amazing. Well worth the price i would say.

I am very upset with the cake I ordered. It was a cake for my baby's first tooth and it was something like a lasting memory that's why I am disappointed. First of all, the letter on the cake ruined the cake's decoration I tryed to fix it with a spoon. Second, I ordered something in the name of my baby and they wrote the name wrong. The name should've been Aila.

Never coming back... I brought 2 slices of cake and they were so DRY. Sorry, but it ended up in the trash. I do not recommend getting any of the display cake slices.

Used to like this pastry shop. Their prices are really ridiculous now. The quality of their products have not been up to par in a while. I ordered a latte with regular whole milk but got oat milk - horrible. The chocolate croissant I got was stale and tasted weird. Both were trashed. Waste of my money. Not going back to this establishment.

The pastries are wonderful.
All of the products from cookies to quiche are outstanding.
But it would really help if the ladies behind the counter would smile.
Positive attitudes and an eagerness to please would really add to the wonderful confections Jean Danet offers.

I lived in Bay Ridge in the 1990's. I would bring the Cheese Danish & Apple Strudel whenever I visited someone's home. Everybody loved it! I visited Bklyn this past week. I was pleased, and not shocked, to see they were still there.

The products taste very good.

At first this place felt extremely weird — I walked in and a hijabi employee actually welcomed me in with smiles. The pastries and coffee was weirdly good for some reason. Weirdest scam ever — they sell happiness disguised as pastries

Local shop for neighbors to get coffee, dont go out of your way to buy desserts there. Cookies not covered, saw flies flying, the pastries not fresh and way too sweet.

I moved out of area and miss this place. Amazing scones!

The customer service was very poor. And then the older female said when I came out the bathroom 🚻 that I wasn't supposed to use their bathroom. After I'm a paying customer who sat their for coffee and apple pie with my mom. Very rude and not friendly at all.
