Jen's Roti Shop and Bakery serves delicious food, especially its doubles, which are available late in the day. The shop offers a variety of options, pleasing picky eaters and loyal customers alike. The food is made fresh and is so flavorful and delicious that customers often buy extra to enjoy over several days. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint, with a seating area for diners. The staff is very friendly and provides excellent service, creating a welcoming environment. While some visitors have noted a decline in the quality of sides, like macaroni salad, the shop remains a popular destination for a taste of home. It is wheelchair accessible and offers a good selection of vegetarian (ital) food. There is no dedicated parking, but street parking is available.
For those craving authentic Caribbean flavors, Jen's Roti on Flatbush Ave is a must-try. The doubles are packed with flavor, and the goat roti is tender and absolutely delicious. Prices can be on the higher side for casual Trinidadian fare, and service may sometimes be slow, so customers should be prepared to wait. However, once the food hits the table, the flavors make it well worth the wait. Overall, Jen's Roti Shop and Bakery is a hidden gem that is definitely worth a visit, especially for anyone seeking some of the best roti and doubles in Brooklyn.
