An old time favorite!!! Was craving oxtail for dayssss! I used to come here all of the time a few years ago, then I moved and was too far. Trekked all the way from Manhattan (with trains not working this weekend, IYKYK) and it did not disappoint.
Oxtail and rice and peas and cabbage!?! 1000000/10! Not too salty, not too fatty, more than enough (definitely could’ve made 2 servings out of the medium…but I was hungry lol). Soldier jerk will forever be a Jamaican staple <3333333!! Oxtails have gotten pricier but they really do give you every dollars worth:)

I’ve been a chef for 12 years, I don’t get impressed often. So please understand me when I say; this was the best piece of chicken I’ve eaten in my entire 38 years of life. Beautifully cooked, not too dry, absolutely bursting with flavor, Salt just right, mellow heat that lingers. Rice and peas were cooked and seasoned perfectly, as were the steamed veg. Best thing I’ve eaten all year.

First off the smell of the “salmon” was horrible when I opened the box. Why is my salmon orange and heavily seasoned ohhhhh because you’re trying mask the horrible smell of the fish. I’m pescatarian I’ve been eating seafood my whole life this is TUNA that they tried to pass off as salmon when u break the fish apart it breaks like tuna, the inside color is a tanish brown like the color of tuna, salmon is PINK inside this fish was NOT which is why they tried to color it orange with the seasoning!! DO NOT get fooled by that little piece that you see is broken off so u see the inside a little bit because it’s COLORED!! HORRIBLE all around. The fish wasn’t fresh AT ALL!! The rice & peas and the box macaroni were OKAY and now I’m sitting at work stomach hurting NEVER AGAIN!!!!! $37 down the drain!!
The person who attends is rude, the service is slow, they ignore you and have a bad attitude. The food is as if it had been vomited onto the plate. All disgusting.
