Rip off joint
My boyfriend came earlier today (Monday) and got the 2 hot pastrami sandwiches on a pretzel bun which is a Monday special for $14 so his total should have been around $28+ with tax. However he got charged $38 and he pointed out the special and the lady helping him said those are the old prices and that the prices went up. I thought that was weird as the new prices should be reflected and if they’re not the customer should still get the price that is not updated. I just called the store and I asked for the price for the same sandwich and the worker told me $15 each. So be careful as some workers like the lady might be telling you charging you the wrong prices.
good sandwiches and stuff. reasonable prices. worth a try.

2 Mexican people working in the front are so rude, it’s a shame Johns deli used to be amazing, they hire anyone. There was a long line so I had waited in the back after he was done making a sandwich I was next, all I needed was a small coffee he skips me and goes to the next guy, then when I asked him he said I told you to wait in the back of the line just like I had already done. Then the person he was making the sandwich for asked if it was my turn, he gave a nasty look and said to the guy hurry and finish your order. So Rude !!!! And they never do anything about it !!!!!!!!!

It's a shame when you have people working at place where they need some training in service. I Got recomended to this place by the owner of siricos and I got the only worst service. It was my fist time I was told I have to eat what was there meaning what was just one slice of pizza I wanted to order fresh pizza more then one and other stuff on the menu that look good, I did not get that chance because the women plus the guy that makes pizza and food was very rude disrespectful why should I eat what they want me to eat when I'm the one paying I should be free to eat and order what I want. I wanted fresh pizza pluss, something else on the menu it was so disaponted. Very disgusted with this place. I Hope the owner looks into this matter because he would lose customers if people are treated in this matter, it doesn't look good for people that know this place for years.

I asked for my sandwich to be on a roll and the lady behind the counter used sandwich bread. I didn’t realize this until I went back to work to eat my lunch.
It was my first time here and I was pretty amazed by the variety of hot food that they had.
Sadly I’m a bit turned off by what happened at checkout along with the type of bread.
A sandwich on a roll costs $8.99. The water I was told is $1. The lady behind the counter charged me $11.90. I thought I was getting change back but she took the $1 from the $11.90 and put straight in the tip box. I was about to say something and she turned her back. Not even a thank you or a good bye. Her demeanor was pretty rude. It left me thinking that she charged me $1 extra just to put in her tip box.
Beware of what you pay and ask for a receipt.

I didn't know about the place until someone told my twin brother about this place and he went there and got a chicken cheese steak sub and brought it home to us to eat, absolutely loved it, then became a regular for the place going to try other subs and salads, you definitely get your money worth, from George wisner Essex Maryland
