Service used to be quick, food used to be quite good and come hot to the table. Not this time. Not to mention it was very cold in the restaurant (granted, we were under a cold spell in Dec 2022). The food was cold and tasteless.

I honestly do not know how anyone has given this restaurant a rating of more than 1 star. The chimichanga came to the table cold and soggy. The sauce thats was poured on top was flavorless and cold as well. Took 1 bite and sent it back. This is not traditional Mexican food.

I ordered $50 worth of food and had it delivered only to find it there was tons of hair in my rice. When I called the manager on duty he tried to argue with me as if I was lying at 8:50 at night about the food I was about to feed my family. He basically made me feel like a liar for bringing it to his attention that there was hair from his cooks in my food and refused to refund me my money. His name is Danny and I’m completely dissatisfied with the lack of customer service I received from this establishment

We were surprised at how big this place is. We were seated quickly, got chips quickly, and meals came out jiffy quick. Meals were excellent. Refried beans order was smaller than I am use to. Prices were slightly higher than our other local cafes.

We had mexican pizza, crispy tacos with shredded beef, fried cheesecake for dessert! AMAZING! Will travel from Orlando very soon for a repeat! Very friendly staff, fast service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bland. No flavor. Watery queso. Our server took our order and that was the last we saw of her until we saw her walking out the door to go home. Another server came around once to give us our check. Overall, a really bad experience.

1st time visit to this store in Pinellas Park. Wife had chicken fajitas - dry, no guacamole or salsas to add to it. Tostadas were more about cold lettuce with a smear of beans, chees enchiladas dry and lifeless. No sauce again. - 8 PM dinner and the place was basically empty...wonder why.

Over the years we have visited Carmalitas many times. This may be the last. Vegetarian Combo: Spinach Enchilada(devoid of any taste whatsoever) Guacamole Tostada( actually a bean tostada with a really small dollop of Guacamole on top. Tasteless.) Chili Relleno( red sauce actually was tasty yet really no sign of a pepper, just a really chewey cheese. Like too chewey.) Sides: Bland Black Beans. Bland Rice. Very unsatisfactory all the way around. Good Luck Carmelitas.

Nice restaurant located on 66th st. N st. Pete. Food was very delicious. We had party of 6 and all chose different items from menu. We were all happy. We’ve eaten there several times, always good food, good service. Not that fond of their salsa, very bland but all meal items we’ve eaten are very good!

Over the years I have been to all the Carmelita's in Pinellas County, but this one is the closest to my house and they all have the same great food and service. We were there last Friday evening and our waitress was very nice and friendly as usual. As we were seated the staff was arranging tables together and shortly after a very large group arrived about 12-15 people. Our waitress handled that group, the three of us and a couple of other tables and we never felt neglected. My sister and I each had the Enchilada combo and her boyfriend had the Del Rey burrito. I also had a Guava Margarita which was very good. It is a casual and affordable restaurant serving authentic Mexican food. They have been in business almost 40 years and they are definitely doing things right.
Me and hubby were visiting the area for my birthday and he wanted Mexican and this place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. We were not disappointed at all, the food was amazing and authentic. I don’t exactly remember the dishes we had but they had these beans that were awesome among the other food we had but if ever in the area again we will definitely be back.

This is a great place for their Mexican pizza! Absolutely love it! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Don’t forget to have a Carmelita Rita which is their signature margarita!

Don't be deceived by the outside. Restaurant is a lot bigger inside. Nice ambience. Excellent service with helpful advice on menu Food was amazing and value for money Will definitely revisit before we leave
