Yeah yeah yeah I know I know there are a few reviews on here from the haters that have you doubting this place. If you listen to them, you'll be playing yourself.iI you're really paranoid, here's what I got. Should you take a date to this place and order these things, may allah make them your spouse and that night your pants removed for a joyous nude dance.Peshwari naan. Bhindi Masala. Baingan Bhuna. Lamb Vindaloo. House special chicken curry. If I had to do it again, I'd probably also get Hyderabadi Bagare Baingan and the Luckhnowi Malai Murgh. The menu isn't that big. I bet those chef specials are absolute bangers. Not to mention, the baingan bhuna was incredible, so I'm down to see what other wildness this place is up to when it comes to my favorite nightshade: the Eggplant.

Food looked great but every dish except tikka was tasteless. When was last time you thought Indian food needed salt? Garlic Naan had plenty of garlic but was doughy & underbaked.

I use to love this place, but I will not be returning. About 10 years ago i discovered this place and loved it. Use to love the mango lassi, my favorite was the chicken Tikka masala. After the pandemic we went there for my sister's birthday and we were very disappointed everything tasted different, the mango lassi was terrible, we decided never again but I loved this place so much i decided to try again and I was left disappointed again. The mango lassi was sour and left a bad after taste, the paratha was so dry and hard and the chicken Tikka masala tasted like nothing but tomato sauce, not creamy and the chicken was flavorless. Never again.

Food is always good at Joy, so is the service. The atmosphere has gotten a little lapse lately.

If I could give zero, I would. This use to be such a good delicious restaurant. This has to be a new chef, point blank. The lassi is bitter and beyond nasty. I ordered four and couldn't even drink 1/2 of mine. My husband doesn't like to waste food so he decided to take the other 2 1/2. The chicken tikka masala is just bad. The chicken was tough, and the sauce as bland as white paper. What saved it for me was the chutney and I was only able to eat around three pieces before passing on the rest. The chicken biriyani that I purchased for mum wasn't bad, but it's spicy for those who can't handle spice. The sesame naan bread would have been good if all the sesame seeds didn't fall off as I was breaking the bread to dip it in the nasty masala sauce. It's been a moment since I ate here and unfortunately I won't be coming back nor recommending it to anyone. All this nastiness for around $80.00

Excellent food and customer service. After Grubhub screwed up my order and I had to cancel it, the restaurant agreed to deliver it themselves, even though I live outside of their designated delivery range. I very much appreciated their willingness to help. I hope to eat in person at Joy in the future.

Food was amazing. My toddler who is very picky even loved it. Staff easily accommodated all our needs. Everyone was friendly and had great follow up which you don't see enough of in this town.

I recently had the chicken biryani at Joy Indian along Flatbush Ave, and it was absolutely delicious! The rice was perfectly cooked and fluffy, the chicken was tender and flavorful, and the spices were perfectly balanced. I would definitely recommend this biryani to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Brooklyn. The chicken was cooked in a dum style, which means that it was sealed in a pot with the rice and spices and cooked over low heat for a long period of time. This results in a very flavorful and aromatic biryani. The rice was basmati rice, which is a long-grain rice that is perfect for biryani. It cooked up perfectly fluffy and light. The spices were perfectly balanced. There was a good amount of heat, but it wasn't too overwhelming. The flavors of the spices were all perfectly complemented each other.Overall, I would highly recommend the chicken biryani at Joy Indian along Flatbush Ave. It is one of the best biryanis I've had in Brooklyn.

Great takeout! This garlic naan is top 3 best I've ever eaten. Chicken tikka masala is classic taste. Will order again.
