Food is absolutely delicious here! Had to stop myself from going back on the same day. Love it!
I've come all the way from Florida, dreaming the whole way about your pumpkin pone...but you have been closed. The sign said you will be open on Thursday and still not open... I'm soooo sad...but I guess oll ha e to come back to NY another time..Until we meet again. This Pone taste like my favorite ...conkee...not sure how to spell it but the spices and everything are perfect... missed you! ? ? ?
This place is no good people. They charging you for a large portion of food and giving you the small container of food instead. I visited this place on July 18th 2023 @ 1:30pm and spent $103.00 in food. The cookup rice was no good. It was chick peas and chicken in it with a lot of bones. This is highway robbery. All the food I purchased was in small containers and they charged me for a large container. They obviously knows what they're doing. Beware of this practice what they're doing to customers now. They are scamming people out of their money and profiting off of their customers. Do not go to this restaurant because it's not doing the right thing. I was so disappointed and disgusted what they did to me so, people when you go you will see for yourselves the container is small and they are charging you for a large side portions. They give you more rice that the actual meats. The okra and salt fish and the spinach and salt fish was very skimpy. More rice than the meat. Not patronizing this place ever again.
Vegetarian options: Not a good place to visit. They are scammers and they charge you for a large when in fact they give you a small container of the food.

This is the best Guyanese bakery by far!!!! I can’t stop thinking about the dumplings from the metem g, the lo mein and cook up…. Amazing!!!! The pastries are magnificent, the other bakery pastries are too doughy not here, try them - you will not regret it ?? Customer service is also a ten, the lady is very friendly but professional (forget Pam and Steve, Linda’s and Pam’s Bakery) best Guyanese bakery in Brooklyn
I am never disappointed when I go. I moved to GA 2 years ago & have been craving their food. I'm in NY for the holidays and am currently sitting outside waiting for them to open so I can get my spinach & codfish on fry bake.
Very sassy and rude carribean people. I want don’t any low vibrations in my food from your poor negative attitude.Do not waste your hard earned money going there. Food was tasteless and sweet. Another basic 1star restaurant with fake reviews. I’m not supporting anymore black businesses! Learn professionalism, have better quality/tasting food, and how properly accommodate guest.
I rate Joy and Snook 5 star because they usually have the food that reminds me of back home in Guyana, especially the pastries.

Never disappoints! I mainly get their curry chicken because it's so delicious. Can't wait to try everything else! Great portion sizes too! Also, very friendly service. Love this place!
tasted just like food from Guyana the best
The Food Is Really Good! Alot Of Vegetarian Options But My Fave Is The Curry Chicken..Okra & A Certain Rice They Have With Meat And Spinach! ( Cant Remember The Name) Also My Daughter Loves The Mac N Cheese And Fish Cakes
Real Authentic Guyanese cuisine. A taste of the Caribbean.
A hole in the wall place with delicious food! I’m a newbie to food from Guyana but for a good lunch I’d recommend the egg ball ($2.50, a knish-like floury cassava pouch with a hardboiled egg inside), a couple of fish cakes ($1.25 each, spicey salt fish nuggets), and the bake and saltfish sandwich ($2.50, a savory donut like deep fried bread with mashed saltfish inside, also comes with spinach or okra mixed in). The patties are good but not as tasty, they’re small and come In chicken, beef or vegetable. Once for dinner another time I tried a delicious shrimp dish, plus another vegetarian dish that was very good. Feels like Caribbean home-cooked comfort food. Highly recommend!
