Really nice place to spend some time. Close to all the action yet usually not too crowded. Especially like that they have a pool table and patio. An easy recommendation.
Edited: Pool table no longer there. Had to deduct a star. Service still great.

I love this place - have been a regular ever since they opened. Good food, good drinks, the staff are awesome, and best prices in the neighborhood. The outdoor patio is also great when the weather's nice.

Sad they removed probably the best pool table in the neighborhood.
This place has so much potential. Unfortunately the owner is absolutely clueless as to how to run a successful bar. Opening at 4 on Saturday and Sundays?(huge sports days all year long) And getting rid of the pool table because a review hurt your feelings? I'm pleading with you now to please sell this place to someone that knows what they are doing.

My friend scheduled her birthday here they told her it’d be a $100 deposit. Day of, the manager came up to my friend and demanded she pay another $250 because “people weren’t ordering enough drinks.” Mind you, at that moment 20 people had a drink in their hand and were ready to order more. So we left obviously and I would recommend not going.

Generic vibe that was completely ruined by management. We came for a birthday and the manager/owner (older white woman) would come over and scold the group every 10-ish minutes for not buying enough drinks. This is all going on while the bar is half empty, open seats and booths aplenty. I'd say our group represented around half of the people there. We left early and went to another bar a few blocks away that didn't keep track of how much we were all drinking, despite being busier. Imagine that!
Friendly service staff. Food was nothing special.

I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes if the manager is willing to scream at people and get in their faces about not buying enough drinks (while they're buying drinks too, mind you...). Waitstaff were all chill and professional though and if they're reading this .. damn I'm sorry omg

I rarely write reviews but the way our party was treated on Saturday was extremely rude and strange. The owner / manager lady harassed our group regarding the amount of money we were spending. The bar was empty and there were barely any people there and we all were buying drinks and snacks so I don’t know what the issue was. Extremely unwelcoming way of treating paying customers and yelling, and harassment is highly unprofessional.

I took a chance and tried out this always-empty venue — big mistake. My night at Jucy Lucy was easily the worst bar experience I’ve ever endured in my 29 years as a New Yorker. I saw what seemed to be a manager or owner reducing a customer to tears over the group “not spending enough money”. Mind you the place was absolutely vacant on a summer weekend and yet I saw her SHOUTING (not once but twice) in a way that truly scared me. The flatbread pizza tasted frozen and the drinks were cheap but only because they were watered down. I don’t know what money could’ve been spent there since it was impossible to flag down the bartender who preferred chatting to the only other patrons at an otherwise desolate counter. I was there for hours and managed to get 2 drinks total. Take a look at how they respond to their negative reviews here. “Hope your life is miserable” is pretty much the perfect summary of the treatment you can expect to get. BEWARE of the old white lady with a crucifix necklace (christian where?) and better yet spend your money down the street at Jimbo Slims where the vibes are always impeccable and you’ll feel right at home 🥰
