What a wonderful institution this juniors has been around a long time .I remember graduating from a city job in the nearby area in 2000 and eating there for the first time. Being from the bronx I only heard about juniors and particularly the cheesecake but then I experienced the real deal. Since then I have become a brooklnite and have been to juniors more than a few times .and always had a good experience . Not a easy thing because in my opinion customer service has suffered some. My wife enjoys the drinks and my go to is the French toast . Breakfast all day the way it's supposed to be. There is the bar area which has its own feel with locals returning time and again and this area is a little different from the other entrance which has a more vintage feel . Recently we enjoyed my sons birthday there and his son my grand son joined us . Do Manhattan but Brooklyn juniors is a must.

Honestly is all the years I've live in brooklyn, this is my first time dining in.
I had such a great experience on Christmas Day, when I went for breakfast.
I'm glad I dined in.
My waitress was amazing, warm and friendly.
The food was actually delicious 😋
Considering that since I had stomach surgery, I've been unable to fine restaurants to accommodate my stomach issues while I'm healing from surgery.

This place is pure nostalgia for me! As a kid we’d drive from brooklyn to the LES to see my abuelita and always pass it. My parents would agree to stop every once and awhile for a slice if we were good. As an adult when I visit the area, I love getting breakfast at the counter -
I’m always met with quick and friendly service.

The prices are high, but so are prices everywhere else. I have been going to Juniors all my life. I have never had anything, in this restaurant, that I didn't enjoy. The cheesecake absolutely is the best. The coffee is also expensive, but they will give you a refill. And you don't have to ask for it. I'm a native New Yorker. Juniors is about the only business left, in Downtown Brooklyn, that has always been there. I also recognize only the Brooklyn location, which is the original.

Best place to eat. Nancy was a great server. It's definitely worth the wait which wasn't too long. We'll be back.

We arrived around 11:20 pm , the bald headed waiter I think with glasses, forget his name has an accent working the tables close to the bar was a little annoyed we came in to be seated at that time. Then maybe about 1-2 groups totaling 30-40 people came in to be seated at around 1130pm just after us, and our waiter and the hostess was not happy at all and complaining ! I know it's a late hour of the night and people probably want to go home however the waiter and hostess had a poor attitude that was quite obvious and the waiter barely came to our table!!! Not a good night for juniors customer service. This needs to be addressed!

The service was prompt and the restaurant was lively, but the food was pretty average. We had pastrami and turkey sandwiches, matzo ball soup, and a chocolate cheesecake. None were bad, but none were amazing either. The restaurant was very close to a subway stop, so it was convenient to get to.

If you hate delicious cake and good service, this isn't the place for you.
The strawberry shortcake is amaze-balls and this is the only restaurant I visit knowing I'm having dessert first! (just so I know I have room for it)

I have loved nearby for many years but for reason never made it here until this week. I guess I thought it would be similar to an Applebees type place but boy was I completely wrong. The vibe is a beautiful, old fashioned dinner and the staff were so nice. Definitely feels like a local / family run type of business. I was with an 8 year old, who loved her silver dollar pancakes and ate every bite. They also had crayons/ coloring for kids. I liked my pancakes as well and cannot wait to go back

Maybe Juniors in Manhatten, might be better. The meals were not good. The meals were way overpriced, a salad and a seafood combination that was not seasoned. We were not able to get lunch specials because it was the weekend. Will not be going back to Junior's.
