I ordered my food at 9:28 pm OK, expected delivery was 10:06pm OK COOL, and they waited until after 10 (when they’re closed) to say it’s been delayed until 10:45pm, OK GREAT! and of course I couldn’t get in contact with anyone because the restaurant was already CLOSED. Yall orchestrated that’s so unprofessionally, If you didn’t want to do the order at 9:28 PM, why didn’t you cancel it within 10 to 15 minutes of me ordering the meal? why have me wait almost a whole hour just To cancel my order? I have an eaten all day I was excited to eat this. (Salmon with two sides) just to get played with. yall were so wrong for that

We were a little unsure not sure what to expect. I felt like having fish broth during the day not knowing this is a dish on the menu. OMG!! Delicious!! 😋. The fish broth taste like home cooked I had the whole large container at the same time. I could not resist… not just the fish broth but the king fish & fries, shark & fries was amazing!! Can’t wait to go again. I seldom write reviews but I could not pass on this place. In addition, very family oriented place where everyone of the staff made sure we were taken care of. I am assuming they are all family the bond was visible and they look alike 😊. It was a little busy they were also preparing for an artiste launching but there was no distraction the customer service and attention to walk-in patrons was remarkable!

We ordered the Rasta pasta, sweet potatoes and steamed snapper. All of our food came in the same tray so the food was soggy from the sweet potato juice, and after the flavors combined our food taste like vomit. They should’ve put our sides in different trays. We ended up tossing it all. I’m only giving it a 2 star because the macaroni I had separately was good.

I don’t get to Flatbush very often, but when I do, I want to eat this kind of food. We were going to King’s theater so we stopped here before the show. My kingfish was fried to perfection, served over cornmeal pudding (coo coo calloo), with a green veggie sauce. Plenty of delicious Scotch bonnet sauce. My husband had the bbq lamb with beans and pumpkin, all delicious but the sides really stood out. Solid island flavors prepared with heart.
On service: the young man supposed to be table side is wasted resources. We asked about the “punches” like “peanut punch,” and he totally flubbed the answer. He got our order wrong, but this other lady, apparently the cook, out to check on us and confirm the order. She ended up bringing the food out from the kitchen, and then plates, and then forks, and then our sauces, all while the young man was outside smoking a joint, the cannabis dank blowing into the dining room. Brah are you on break or what? This your auntie or something, you get her to do all the work? Wow. I chatted with the lady after about frying fish, and she was very modest and kind. I handed her a ten for tip but she refused it, first time I EVER had that happen in NYC. Was it because she was a cook, not a waitress? I didn’t follow. But I made her take it and said it was an honest expression of gratitude. Kudos to her and the cooking here.

3rd time ordering from here and the food is good. I live close by and we have a myriad of food options but what set this restaurant apart for me is how they handled an issue I had with doordash store front. After I explained to the lady my dilemma with an order that was placed when they were closed ans how I couldn't get thru to doordash customeds service; I asked if I couldnt still get the food made and they agreed. Even told me to come anyday I want to and speak to Romeo who was polite and even apologized when it wasnt even their fault.
This is now def my fav restaurant in the neighborhood and I will back!
This is my 2nd time here and I will be returning for a third ?. The atmosphere is good the vibe is good the music is good I give the service 4 star because my friend drink was not made good too much ice and took very long to make but overall this place is amazing and I met Joanne and we connected and she is beautiful and amazing person and we talked as if we knew each other for years
Vegetarian options: Plenty of fish and vegetables options for those who don't eat meat or rice or starch
Kid-friendliness: Yes kids are allowed they love the Mac and cheese

My third visit to this location and every visit was a palate symphony! Food is fresh and feel like your eating a plate out of your mom’s pot. The people are so pleasant and the DJ’s are a VIBE! Look forward to many more visits.
