Polish food at its best..
Lovely vibe, my in-law is Polish and he has been craving for some good polish foods, this definitely didn’t disappoint! The ham hock is amazing, perfectly cooked, firm and tender. We also love the pierogi with cheese and potato filling.
I went to this restaurant because of the great reviews and my love for pierogis, but I have to be honest—I wasn’t impressed. Quite the contrary.
I ordered the Polish plate, and overall, everything lacked salt. The pierogis were very bland, and I couldn’t even tell what the fillings were. I believe there were three different kinds, but only the potato one was somewhat identifiable. The potato pancakes were completely tasteless—to the point where I honestly wondered if they had forgotten to buy salt!! The stuffed cabbage wasn’t any better. The only item with any flavor was the meat stew.
I also sat at the counter, squeezed between the beer dispenser (literally in my face, see photo) and a very odd customer who started to make me uncomfortable. The bartender clearly noticed, but didn’t offer to move me even when other seats at the counter became available.
Overall, the experience felt cold and unwelcoming. It was probably the first time I’ve ever dined somewhere without being asked how the food was or whether I needed anything else. No one even said goodbye when I got up to leave.
First and last time!!
Go to Pierozek! Much better.
Great staff! Wonderful food! Good vibes! Overall my fav Polish restaurant in the neighborhood… and that’s coming from a Polish gal!
Polish restaurant in Greenpoint ,NY. Very close to underground station, one minute walk. The restaurant refers to the Polish folk culture. Service nice and polite, although very busy,at least during our visit. Food good, although potato pancakes a bit overdone. Overall good impression, I recommend.
Amazing traditional polish food
went with my husband and son to eat here for the first time today. they were incredibly busy on a Saturday. if you're gonna come here it's best to make reservations this way you're not waiting at,least a half hour for a table. once seated, service was fairly quick and waiters are super nice. food was good and not expensive for the quantity you get. it's one of the few authentic polish places, left in Brooklyn. definitely recommend. we will be returning!
The food is nasty. everything is full of oil like they fry in cold oil so everything is absorbed to the food. Not only oily but not tasty, no spicies or even saltnis added to food. THIS IS A SHAME! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! REAL POLISH FOOD IS AMAZING AND THIS PLACE IS A DISGRACE TO OIT KITCHEN!!

I never had Polish food so I came in for an experience. As a well traveled person, I knew it wouldn’t be good but it was worth a try. It was not for me. The fishes are not well balanced. Not enough vegetables. Too much meat and carbs.

The sour rye soup is world-champion, hard to find in Poland.

This place has become a complete waste of money. I visited multiple times, and the quality of service and food has declined. I ordered potato pancakes for my daughter, and they were absolutely disgusting—dry and full of grease. I spoke with the administrator, who promised to refund my money, but that never happened. I do not recommend.

Decor was fun in a kitschy way pierogis were very good, borscht was okay, and they had a pretty impressive drink menu. However at 50 dollars a person I am not sure you are getting great value for your money here.
Delightful experience! I had the white borscht and sample platter and everything was delicious from the borscht to the hunters stew, stuffed cabbage and pork cutlet. This is apparently one of the last authentic polish restaurants in the area (per my polish friend) and it was busy! Very good I highly recommend you come hungry as the portions were large
