Excellent bar with lots of thoughtful touches and clean bathrooms
Drove an hour just to come here for Premier League Morning. The bar was packed, drinks were flowing and the staff was having a grand time with patrons. Ordered the fish and Chips and a Heineken, my buddy got the Full Irish Breakfast, some wings, and a couple beers. The Cod beer batter was fantastic, super crispy fish that melts in your mouth. The buffalo sauce on the wings was also tasty. Prices are great for cash customers as well. My only negative is that when the door keeps opening the place starts FREEZING especially at the bar area but quickly warms up again when closed. Honestly a gem of a sports bar.

We traveled to Kent Ale House to watch the rugby. The staff are lovely and the bar has great atmosphere. However, unfortunately both me and my partner got sick after eating/drinking here so can’t recommend this place. Such a shame as the staff were so friendly and the service had been amazing. We may have just been unlucky but we likely won’t visit again.

I love this place. It’s like a second home in the sense that I’ve made great friends here, the food is fantastic and the drinks just right. Kent Ale House is an institution in Williamsburg. You come here to drink beer, a great Martini (my choice), some great local brews, cider, mulled wine or anything else. Sober people come here! It’s a place for after soccer, after work, or just to hang out. Football Sundays are the best. I can’t praise it enough! Tons of after parties, weddings (post post reception) and just regulars make it fun. The bartenders are fun and you can just chill.

I stopped here with a friend because a silent disco we were going to was delayed and we didn’t feel like waiting outside. My friend drinks, I do not. She goes up to the bar and the bartender, a rude, white guy with greasy blond hair, asked her what she wanted to order and then for her ID. This guy then tells her that he “needed to see her friend’s ID too,” even though I never went up to the bar….because again I don’t drink. I ended up showing him my ID but he was extremely rude about the situation. I’m also 33 years old by the way. So it’s not like I’m trying to sneak into a bar. I’m old enough to be there. I also watched as he did not ask other people for their IDs. I think I was targeted by this bartender. I will say me and my friend were the only black women in the bar. I think I saw one or two black men. This is a very white bar and I think the staff could use trainings on anti discrimination and micro aggressions. Further, I believe if you’re going to card people who are not ordering drinks, you should card everyone in the bar. I think their practices are disparate based on race and gender. Just my opinion, I def won’t be back.

This is listed on the Isles website as an Islanders bar, but it is not! They wouldn’t turn on the game ☹️
The surprise shot and drink combo is fun

Absolute best bar in Williamsburg to watch sports (they open early on weekends for Premier League, Ryder Cup, etc.)
Really fun atmosphere, top notch pub food, extensive beer list, outdoor seating with skyline views, and most notably: the staff are the ✨actual✨ loveliest people on Earth.
