I really wanted to try this place for a while. We visited on a Friday evening and the music was pumping so no one could hear anything. The staff was stressed and rushing around. When we first walked in, a waitress pushed me aside to rush to pickup the phone that started ringing after we had already walked in and started to talk to her. 🙄 and then it took forever to get someone's attention to order, meanwhile listening to tables on both sides of us yelling to each other to be heard over the music. I love Thai food but we decided it was not going to be an enjoyable experience and walked out.
Kid-friendliness: Very loud. Not accessible for a stroller.
Wheelchair accessibility: No accessible. Stairs.

It was the worst experience ever. force to tip even though tipping is optional. service is mediocre, and command for the tips. don't let you leave the restaurant if you don't tip. never coming back again.

Disappointed when we ordered Garlic Udon hangar beef added extra duck. For the price adding TT, the portion was underwhelming. We’ve ordered takeaways and was very happy with our orders.

I had a very disappointing experience here last night, after having been a customer in previous years.
We were seated by the window, and delivery people (Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc.) kept coming in and out of the door and standing or sitting a couple of feet from us throughout the meal. Several of them were blasting music or videos from their phones, which made it hard to have a conversation with my date.
Service was also slow in this corner of the restaurant. It was cold as the door kept opening, and we felt forgotten by the waitstaff.
In terms of the food, while I asked for the dish to be made spicy, it was very bland. We were not given chopsticks or a spoon (even though I ordered curry, which is mostly liquid). I will say that the ingredients seemed fresh and the portions were decent. For $30/person, though, you can get way more flavorful and affordable Thai food around here, and in a better ambience. We definitely won't be back.

The fried chicken wings were undercooked - pink near to the bone….the presentation of the whole fried fish was beautiful but the fish had no seasoning - just fried…not like any other whole fish I’ve had in other Thai restaurants…this was a huge disappointment…I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone as it was a huge letdown…The person I was with also voiced her concerns about the undercooked chicken…not safe!! She did however enjoy the crab fried rice….Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing!!

I recently ordered various take out items from here: chicken satay, tom yum soup, drunken noodles and a papaya salad. Every single item was way too sweet and I regret ordering from this place. However, the shrimp in the Tom yum soup was cooked well, and that’s hard to achieve with a soup!

Foods are less spicy than real Thai foods, kind of too sweet, less sour, less salty...

This place advertises certain menu items as being Gluten Free, despite them not being safe for people with a gluten allergy.
Khaosan is a lovely Thai restaurant in the heart of Brooklyn Heights. It has very good cocktails and traditional Thai cuisine. The menu is especially welcoming to vegetarians. In fact, I suggest avoiding dishes with beef.
