The food is not fresh, it's very salty and poorly packaged.

Kiku has been my go-to sushi place in the neighborhood for 10+ years. They always treat me well and the food is always solid.

The staff were incredibly disrespectful. After my friend and I finished eating and realized we made a mistake with the billing part of the check, we went to go inform one of the staff. We explained to them what happened and at first they did not want to resolve the issue…it was so weird. Someone else that came from the back came to the cashier and shoved our money back into the register as we were trying to explain our mistake and what we wanted to do instead. Afterwards, they let my friend pay with what she ORIGINALLY wanted to pay with. At the very end one of the staff pointed at my receipt and I thought she wanted it so throw away so she could print out a new one??? then told me it was my receipt?? and threw it on the table, didn’t even hand it out to me even though my hands were out reaching????? Overall poor experience. I’ve been here twice and the food really isn’t special. The food wasn’t all that, you can go somewhere else with nicer staff and tastier food.

Service bad
I typically avoid writing negative reviews, but after yesterday's appalling experience, I feel it's necessary to share what happened. The level of service my daughter and I received at this restaurant was not just poor—it was atrocious and unacceptable.
We arrived at the restaurant just before 3:30 PM. As soon as we entered and took our seats, the waitress handed us the menus. From the start, there was an unmistakable negative energy from her that we should have heeded. Ignoring this initial discomfort, we continued to look over the menu, unaware that this was just the beginning of a truly dreadful experience.
When I asked for the lunch menu, the waitress responded dismissively, stating that there was no lunch menu available that day. This was perplexing, especially since we had visited previously on a weekend before 4 PM and were given a lunch menu. This was our first sign that something was seriously off.
We proceeded to order two oyster rolls, smoked salmon with avocado, two soups, and two seltzer waters. The bill came to approximately $46.00. Upon reviewing the bill, we noticed that one oyster roll had been omitted. When we brought this to the waitress's attention, she became visibly irritated and claimed that the price of the missing oyster roll was the same as the smoked salmon roll. She returned the bill with a revised total of $45.00—an amount inconsistent with her explanation.
If we had ordered from the lunch menu, priced at $12.25 for any two rolls with soup, our bill would have been less than half the price we ended up paying. This further highlighted the deceptive nature of the service we received.
Despite the waitress’s rudeness, we left an $8.00 tip. However, as we were leaving, we noticed an A-frame sign outside advertising a KIKU SPECIAL lunch from 11 AM to 4 PM. I approached the waitress politely and inquired why we had been told there was no lunch menu. Her response was that the sign was incorrect and that it was her first day working there. When I pointed out that the takeout menu also advertised lunch from 11 AM to 4 PM, she became irate and insisted that there was no lunch special on weekends.
Her demeanor escalated to outright hostility. She accused us of creating problems and then, to add insult to injury, offered to pay for our lunch, handing us $20.00 in cash. As we left, she started shouting in her native language, using profanity, further demonstrating her lack of professionalism and respect.
This experience was a glaring example of how not to handle customer service. The miscommunication, rude behavior, and overall lack of accountability were staggering. I will never patronize this business again and will be sure to share this experience with others I know to warn them.
I've only ordered from them once and I only got one thing... but I might just go where I kno I can get that one thing just the way I want it next time.

I ordered foods today (June 26th). I called to asked about my foods around 1:20pm and a lady picked up a phone. I asked her did my foods already on the way or not? She asked me about my address. I told her my address and I spoke so clearly. But when she talked back, the way she talked was so rude and yelled at me and she hung up the phone. This was my first time order here. I feel so disappointed about it.

Ordered from Uber eats and the store is supposed to deliver our food. It’s been over an hour and the food is still not here. Called them multiple times trying to understand what’s happening and they kept brushing us off. Don’t order from here.

This place deserves a 0. An absolute horrible place that does not know how to treat their customers. I attempted to place an order today and the woman who answered the phone was extremely unpleasant. I was attempting to ask about an item on the menu and she really had the audacity to try and yell at me saying “I ALREADY TOLD YOU” I then proceeded to telling her to cancel my order because why would I want to give a place like this my business. She then tried to call me 5 more times harassing me, I will never step foot or order from this place and I HIGHLY suggest to do the same. Especially with the other reviews here the food clearly is not fresh and they have no customer service skills at all. Dodge the bullet people.

I have been.ordering delivery rom this place for quite a while now and not that it is the best but convenient. As a change, I decided to pick up my last order instead of having it delivered and as a thank you for being a loyal customer, they decided to poison my food this time that made me sick for a whole week. I should of known they were up to something when my rolls and everything else I ordered were made in the back and not in the sushi bar at the front.
we ordered with Uber Eat and half of the order was missing...

Extremely bad place. Dangerous. They poisoned my food and my friend's food. They gave us extra food that nobody ordered and pretended they didn't understand us so that they could bill us more. Do not Ever go here. I was very respectful and left tips (that they clearly didn't earn) while they made us sick. So did my friend. This place needs to get shut down immediately. Very bad in every way.I should give negative stars. One is simply far too high for this dangerous, sketchy, disrespectful and literally sickening, "restaurant." (I wouldn't call it that) It is very bad and seriously dangerous. Be careful before ever deciding to go near this place.

I just got delivery from here, it was 45 min late, and when it arrived the driver called me and told me to go get it in the lobby instead of bringing it to my door. He did eventually bring it upstairs after I had to ask him like 4 different times. The only edible thing in the order was the miso soup. The spring rolls were soaked in oil and undercooked, the tempura was cold and slimy, and the fish tasted off. I would avoid.

Been coming here for years, food is reliable. But the server dipped her finger in miso soup when putting it down on the table and shook her finger off like it was nothing. Now I’m not sure if I’ll return.
