No service. Tried to call to place an order for a delivery and she yelled no delivery and hung up on me. When I tried to call again for pick she just ignored. Bad vibes.

For years, I thought about the food offerings inside Kim Fai Chinese restaurant located in Brooklyn's Utica Avenue and Avenue H. This holiday week brought forth a pleasant surprise by ordering a Chinese shrimp and broccoli entrée in this spacious restaurant. As requested always, extra sauce, fried rice with no beansprouts or onion, extra (plenty of) scallion, and mixed vegetables in the fried rice.Let's begin with the ample portion size, somewhat larger, and accompanied by a beverage of your choice. The fried rice had shrimp and broccoli sauce in every bite (just the way I like it). Shrimp was seasoned and moist when bitten with the same said about the broccoli having a "fresh" snap sound when cut into pieces. Kim Fai is an uncluttered secret Chinese restaurant hidden in plain sight on Utica Avenue. Sorry for arriving late to this Brooklyn shrimp and broccoli meal.In addition, the price point was lower than the amount paid in Manhattan for a Chinese shrimp and broccoli with a beverage. By far and without question, Kim Fai is a 5-star food extravaganza to behold. Still shocked this restaurant treat was missed by car, MTA bus, and while walking for numerous years. The shrimp and broccoli search has been found in Brooklyn, New York! Do not forget to ask for your fortune cookies for dessert. Fortune cookies with milk is simply delicious - I digress.

Food is good, and they deliver good, but they will call you and have you outside waiting for them to pull up…

I always order from here but today the food was just disgusting. The fried rice and lomein had absolutely no flavor, the chicken wings in garlic sauce was salty and the fried chicken wings was hard and over cooked. Not ordering from here anymore...

Chinese American Brooklyn Style!Happy this little takeout has survived decades of transitions. A neighborhood favorite of the whole family past and present. Friendly quick service, affordable hearty dishes, and the wok still delivers the distinct style had in our borough.
