When I was a kid, I went to school a couple blocks away from this place and would come here with my mom. I have been eating here since the 4th grade. Almost everytime we came, they would turn on the most amazing Bollywood videos on at my request which has contributed to my love for Bollywood and Indian art, cuisine and culture. I will never ever forget this place, as they are the only restaurant I know that makes the best Shrimp Tikka Masala, with THE best Naan and THE BEST chutney...

A friend recommended King of Tandoor, and I was a tad doubtful it would hit my spice preference. It’s a cozy, ‘typical’ NYC Indian spot, and while I was right about the spice level for the chicken vindaloo, my friend was right to recommend this place. I don’t read menus at Indian spots. I just order Chicken Vindaloo spicy and if I’m hungry, I get samosas and garlic naan. I got it all today. And when I asked the waiter about the spice level, he told me it wouldn’t be...
