Stale cookies old cake that they scrape the old cream off and put new on so it looks fresh cake is always dry never moist never made how I ask the girls are all nasty they should quit if they don’t want to do the work and the owner is a goof that stands there making customers uncomfortable it’s also filthy ALL the time!! Disgusting never again especially when a counter girl is nodding no at something I wanted to purchase!!!!
Edit: I tried this place again - and once again NEVER AGAIN the lady behind the counter was screaming as if I needed to know her business the cookies were awful the cakes I bought were horrible what a waste of money if this was the last bakery on earth I wouldn’t give them my business

I needed a cake for my daughter’s birthday last minute . The staff was so supportive and reassuring that my daughter would have a cake for her birthday! When I tell you it was absolutely gorgeous she loved it ! And it taste great as well . Thank you guys for making her birthday special!

My friend went in there looking for a birthday cake for me, she asked the girl to write my name and hearts too, the girl was very sweet and the cake came out beautiful! Loved the writing and the hearts, tasted very good as well!

In general a reliable fresh bread bakery. But customer service varies depending on who serves you. What prompted this review was the staff putting a dozen seven-layer in a paperback and when my husband requested it in a box: this is what it looked like. It tastes good, but this is unacceptable. Is this how you treat the product of the store and how to serve customers? Or does it vary based on the ethnicity of the customer?
Update: I appreciate the owner's taking responsibility for his staff and responding to my post and complaint. My husband visited the bakery last week and the staff apologized. This is a shop i would continue to do business with.

King's Highway Bakery has a nice selection of baked goods. We tried the jelly doughnuts, a pumpkin pie, and an assortment of Italian cookies. The Italian cookies were our favorite—they were very fresh and stood out among the items we purchased. A solid option for baked treats.

This bread is NYC! I can’t tell you how much this bread means to my family! I take it to Texas with me every time! Owner went above and beyond! The staff was very friendly and they even helped me find some of their bodegas that carry it so I don’t have to travel outside of my neighborhood to find it! Wish I could give them 10 stars! Customer for life!!!
Having such an amazing place like this just a few blocks from where I live is definitely a major detriment to my health, lol.
I come here often, maybe too often, for the lard bread and the linzer tarts (which are out of this world).

I really don’t like how the owner himself told me he sells breakfast bagels (cream cheese, butter, eggs, etc) “all day” when I was there ironically, but everytime I call the bakery, one of the girls pick up and say “sorry we’re not using the grill anymore” even at 10:30 AM or “oh sorry we don’t sell breakfast past 10” or they’ll give you a new time “they stop making bagels” every week. Today she told me “sorry we stop using the grill after 10 OR 11…” when I asked why every bakery girl tells me different times she said “the girls might give different times depending on if they feel like making breakfast bagels or not…” nice to know I WONT be returning here again.
