7/13/2023From Florida i took the wife and the kids to the big apple on a 1 week vacation, stop by "Kombit" ohhh my God worst experience ever...like I said I am from Florida I know good food but this..don't know what it was Don't was your time and money.7/14/2023 I am so disappointed in this place I had to come bad ...the food was so disgusting the GRIOT" was rotten and smell like dead fish but thank God I found an other place called "YOLIS" probably 25 minutes drive from that dump place call Konbit but it's worth it. Please believe me I have never reviewed any place like this before if I do it's because I am right Please don't go there.
TI!!! She is an amazing bartender and waitress! She was exceptional! She did a job of 7! Her energy is on 100!! I’m definitely coming back. This was a Tuesday night! I can’t even imagine the weekend!! Thank you TI!!
Ordered goat Tasso but got beef tasso and the texture was quite tough. People unfamiliar to the cuisine probably wouldn’t know the difference but this unfortunately happens often across many Haitian restaurants. Also I got the most curious banan - it was shaped almost like balls as if they barely pressed down on it - super thick lol the flavor wasn’t bad but they got mushy bc they were swimming in sauce. Despite adding coconut milk to their brown rice, it still lacked flavor. I ordered on DoorDash and it came about 2.5 hours after ordering. I waited bc I was REALLY craving goat tasso. Too bad.
I love the fried pork here. A black owned Haitian staple in the community! I would come back!
I don't know what you call good food they don't cook well in that restaurant very bad experience on September 25, 2022 we went from Boston to New York we decided to eat in a Haitian restaurant so the experience was very bad, the food was very bad, we bought diri djondjon, lambí,legume we had to throw all the food in the trash ,the rice was very unpleasant if you are a person of likes you do not eat any nonesence is not recommended to eat in this restaurant they have to change the cheap product the buying and change the way they cook ⭐️
Amazing food, great staff, and a fair price!
Haitian black rice finest! Great location near Atlantic center mall/Barclay's. I'm half asleep having ate way too much. Great portions, delicious and have been going there since it's opening.
I have been going there for years. The food is wonderful. I highly recommend it. If you want Haitian food go there.
Had cocktails and some appetizers. The food was good and the drinks were great. The ambiance wasn’t the most elegant but it was ok. Definitely would recommend.

It is a nice quiet spot, friendly staff, live dj, we only came in for drinks, but very comfortable atmosphere
Nice little after work spot. Good drinks. Tuesday night bartender makes the best drinks.
I enjoyed the food and ambiance. Opens an hour later than indicated, but once served the service and food was great! Drinks were strong, and even when I took half my meal to go the next day it still tasted amazing.
