Serving very authentic Thai Esan Street food and lots of variety. Lots of flavor and spices in each dish. Delicious! Be aware SOM TUM dishes. It can get very spicy, but addictive. Ideal to eat these with Sticky Rice.

Was apprehensive to try this place as it replaced a neighborhood staple (Pok Pok), and I wanted to show loyalty. But Krok is worth the visit!!! Similar street-food and more-traditional less-Americanized angle on Thai food, very similar fish sauce wings, but lots of different, more traditional dishes. Loved all the dishes we tried (see photos) - we've ordered standard pad thai and pad see ew takeout from this place, which weren't as good as their homestyle dishes. Everything is super tasty - some of the dishes were probably swimming too much in sauces, but delicious all the same. When they say spicy, they mean it - their papaya salads will set your mouth on f i r e!

Most authentic family owned Thai restaurant in Brooklyn! They actually have "Thai spicy" levels per your request. I find that the dishes they do well here are their stir fry dishes - larb salads & Thai street style meat dishes to be paired with sticky rice. A must get app are their crispy and flavorful fish sauce wings!

Get the garlic wings. The pad see ewe is salt and sweet. The curry had a little heat and was great. And the sticky rice was great texture and cooked perfect. Topped with a Thai iced tea to hold over the spiciness.

Was going to our usual spot but decided to give this place a try because it was close by. We ordered four dishes and was not impressed. Papaya salad was pretty good. Larb Moo was TOO slimy. The sliminess kind of threw me off. After two bites it was a no for me. Fish sauce wings were okay, it was a bit too sweet. Weeping tiger was a bit disappointing. It was over cooked and lacking flavor. All I tasted was black pepper. For this price, there are better places.

KROK is a super quaint Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. The food portions were definitely large. The highlight of the meal was the fish. The drunken noodles and the green curry were nothing to write home about, it was honestly more bland than I expect of Thai food usually. There is a heavy emphasis on the fish sauce flavor over the balance of sweet, salty, savory, and sour. The restaurant decor was brightly colored but the smell of fish sauce really permeates throughout the small restaurant. (Don't get me wrong, i appreciate fish sauce but this was a little bit too much).

The khao soi gai is fantastic, same with the fish sauce wings. Literally the best restaurant in this neighborhood, by a long shot.

We ordered pick up last week and ordered a few extra dishes so we had leftovers for some lunch later in the week. We had the basil thai fried rice, pad thai, pad see ew, sauted broccoli. We had an appointment in Brooklyn Heights that we would finish up around 3. So we ordered ahead and did a scheduled pickup. The food wasn't ready yet. We waited another 15 minutes and they called us to let us know it was ready. The food smelled delicious and the portions were nice sized. The flavors were good, but everything kind of had the same flavor. I was expecting a little spice.in the fried rice. But, it wasn't there. There was nothing that was horrible. The flavors were just a little flat.

Best thai food I’ve had outside of Thailand in a long while! Cozy restaurant with authentic food and great service. Order their big tray (Tum Yok Tard) and enjoy the taste of Thailand!!!

I was shopping in Downtown Brooklyn on a Saturday afternoon and was craving Thai. I decided to head over to the waterfront and try out Krok, which was a place I've heard good things about. I love Thai food and would love to try every place in the city eventually, so I was okay with the 20 minute walk there. Upon arrival, Krok was not the most welcoming place as the front door was locked and there was no one else in sight. Fortunately, there's a small doorbell on the front door to alert their staff that you're there. Once we were sat (outdoors), the staff could not have been more attentive, though. They came over with menus, water, and additional plate/flatware immediately, all the while asking if we had any questions. I opted for the chicken fried rice and my friend decided on the duck larb. While mine was very good, my friend's dish was outstanding. Slightly on the spicy side (even though she ordered it mild), it was very dynamic in flavor. It really had me wishing we had come with more people so we could try even more dishes. All in all, Krok was a great experience! Definitely will be making this detour again in the future.

This place has a way more diverse menu than your average Thai. Everything we tried was delicious. Also great for a sunset.

No joke - it was the worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. Drenched in oil and the chicken was low quality
