I used to be a regular at this place because the food is good—I even brought friends here and recommended it to others. But this is definitely the last time I’ll ever come, and just like I recommended it positively before, I’ll now be warning people about it. It’s unbelievable how bad the service was. The waiter looked completely unhappy to be there, showed zero emotion, using air pods (?) and even something as simple as bringing the check—while we were the ONLY table in the entire restaurant—seemed to be done whenever he felt like it. The food took forever, with no explanation and not even an apology.
We asked for containers and a bag to pack everything ourselves so we wouldn’t “bother the waiter” and basically do his job for him. Then when it was time to pay, he ILLEGALLY added the tip without my authorization. I hope anyone reading this understands that no place is allowed to add a tip unless it is clearly written on the menu or you are notified before ordering.
The worst part was that when I told the waiter I didn’t want to leave that tip, he just said, “That’s how the system is, I’ll talk to the owner.” What a horrible experience. I genuinely felt robbed.

Visiting New York for the weekend and decided to come here for dinner — it was a good decision. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is super delicious and affordable for the amount they serve. It’s a place to come to celebrate a special dinner or with the entire family. Highly recommend!!!

Service was awful, I would say they were kind of racist. I wouldn’t recommend this place, the server was rude since the beginning, not a thank you, not a please. I tried the pollo a la brasa and it was bland, the fries were undercooked. Tip is included, so think twice before try this place.

If your looking for fresh and DELICIOUS food!! Don't wait to come here. The server is also the bartender and he is very attentive. Five stars for all, as my first time being at LA Chacra.. Will definitely coming back and recommend this place..
