This place was terrible. Ate here twice and one other time walked out . POOR and I reiterate POOR service along with mediocre food. Glad it's gone.

As of January 3,2018, I saw that the place was darkened and desolate but I chalked it up to them having an extended New Years vacay. The next day, January 4, 2018, there is a sign stating Pret a Manger coming soon. This happened out of nowhere! I just stopped past here on December 14,2018 with a group for a drink and it was crowded. The food was always good and consistent. I'll miss this as an option in the Metrotech area.

Our office has been a long time customer for about 3 years. We order from here almost every week. Today was just another day we decided to order from La Defense but instead of getting our order all we received was one problem after another. We faxed over our order and called a few minutes later to confirm if it was received. Nobody answered the phone after trying for 20 minutes. One of my coworkers then decided to walk over to give the order only to find the fax is sitting in their machine. When my coworker asked what happened to the order the response was they were out of chicken. They decided to not to call us with this information but leave us uninformed until a coworker walked over. After adjusting our order to replace the chicken with beef, we sent another order while my coworker waited to see if the order was processed. After another 15 minutes, the lady in the front told my coworker they are also out of beef. What happened next was the most frustrating and unprofessional thing of all. Instead of trying to help adjust our order the lady seemed disinterested in helping my coworker and proceeded to move on to the next customer. My coworker left and our office is without food. We ordered for more than 20 people and now we have to go elsewhere after wasting so much time.

Very cute French near metrotech. Good place for lunch or happy hour after work. Food was ok. My salmon was a bit dried, even though i ordered medium, and under seasoned. It was also quite expensive, especially for lunch. I wasn't very happy with the service. Our waitress dropped the food and didn't check back on us. I wanted to order some fries but she came at the end of the meal. Atmosphere and decor was very nice.

We went here for a super early brunch on Saturday. There were not that many tables which was good because there was no wait time. Everything was delicious except for the walnut pancakes. I was hoping for more fluffy buttery pancakes, whereas the ones we got were quiet flat and not that interesting in flavors. The prices are really good though, cheaper than most brunch places.

I was provided with the worst eggs Benedict I have eaten in my life here for brunch. First the english muffin was burned and skimpy and the menu indicated prosscuitto, but they gave me Canadian bacon and made no effort to correct this. Also the potatoes they served it with were bland, not cooked well, and the dish in general was under salted. I beg you, do not spend a dime here.

La Defense was one of the few stops made during my NYC trip that I didn't research at all. I didn't see a menu posted so did a quick google for type, but actually stopped because of seeing brunch items brought to an outdoor table as I passed. It just happened to be on my way from hotel conference to hotel, and I was hungry. I was seated quickly and brought water and a bottle to refill from, and I asked the server for his choice between two. I was between a cassoulet and a crepe, both sounding yum. He said the cassoulet was his favorite, so I went with it. It was okay. It wasn't memorable. And when I needed to leave, I had a time of finding someone to get me the check, having never returned since bringing the food. So, eh.

Disappointing experience. The bar manager (stephon) also didn't seem very hospitable. The worst of it was that the fried calamari was heated in a microwave and when notified of this, Everyone seemed shocked . Never to return. Will write an updated review in food magazine but this was my personal experience written here

I have had breakfast and lunch here, but recently tried the dinner menu and it was amazing. Ordered the "Sea Bream" which I was skeptical about but turned out to be very good! It is similar to a red snapper, it was very well seasoned with herbs and spices. Also added roasted potatoes as a side and some zucchini. The meal was very well presented and the waiter was the best!! I give them 5 stars and it's not because I also speak francais!!

Sure, it's a Monday at 3pm but I am not the only person here. I ordered a salmon Caesar and got a tiny piece of salmon that was pressed on a grill so thin that it was hard, dry and could have been used as toast. Coffee was luke warm. No water/coffee or if I wanted a refill. I was sat at the only three tables not dressed with a white table cloth. To have the other two beside me dressed while the waitress threw the folded up table cloths on to the table, while I waited for my food. Flies all around, sure, it's summer in NY...I am currently waiting over 10m for my bill. I ordered two things. Had to get up to ask for the bill a second time.

I think we came at an unpopular time. They were out of the salmon which we only find out when we go to place our order. They were out of some of the wines on their list and we find that out after we order and the server tried To present alternatives, but really didn't know the wines presented. Oddly the cheeses we ordered came without a bread or cracker, just haven't experienced that before, not sure what we were suppose to spread the cheeses onto. The salmon tartare was very good and the hanger steaks were enjoyed as well. This is likely a business lunch place and not something to try on weekend evening dinner search.

PLEASE READ MY AMENDED REVIEW BELOW. This place is my downtown Brooklyn, favorite. The staff is super amazing, whether you have breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or just come for happy hour, your experience will be amazing. You know a place is good when majority of the staff never leaves. They treat you like family. If you love French food, this is a great place to eat. They also have all the games for the world cup. It's a perfect place to see it all. *******The past 4 months a girl who I have posted the picture below, began working here. She has rolled her eyes at me, sucked her teeth and made rude comments. Michelle who has worked here for many years, apologized, and said she would talk to her and it would not happen again. Then today while ordering coffee, she whispered to me, don't come here, watch your back, and she said the word " Voodoo" d*** founded, I asked her, "is there a problem and why is she disrespecting me as a customer." She denied what she said and the girl, pictured below and I had an argument. I asked the bartender to talk to Bruno, the owner, who I know, and he explained that Victor the manager would be there to handle it soon. Victor's response to me was very rude and inappropriate as a good long time customer. My compliments above displays how highly I thought of this place. Prior to this employee working here, I had nothing bad to say. Her nonsense, completely shocked and disgusted me. ..... consumers beware, !!!!!!this is terrible customer service. I would like a formal apology from the owner Bruno, and the manager Victor, and I believe that an employee like this should be terminated!!!!! I have posted a picture of this employee consumer beware!!!! no customer should be treated badly ever. It is just simply bad business!!! Multiple customers commented on how disgusting and terrible I was treated, this was witnessed by strangers who came to me and commented how amazed they were at this girls behavior. Hopefully someone from the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, and Department of Labor are reading this review and investigate this establishment!!!! I WILL GLADLY AMMEND MY REVIEW AND CHANGE MY OPINION OF LA DEFENSE IF THE OWNER TAKES ACTION TO PROPERLY APOLOGIZE AND RECTIFY THIS INCIDENT.I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLIMENT 2 EMPlOYEES, Cedrick, and Roberto... always classy, cordial and professional. The rest need to be replaced. I read all 300 reviews there are a TON of 1 star ratings.... wake management some employee replacement is needed ASAP!!
