They were Great! They were outstanding!! They made some of the best pizza and heroes that I've ever had, and I worked my way through College spinning pies on SI!!! Unfortunately, they permanently closed in March. Farewell, La Sorrentina: You made me truly enjoy living in Dyker Heights.

Rude cashier and restaurant displays deceiving prices online when compared to in person pricing. Go anywhere but here. They should learn that customer service is first - and not their arrogance.

A quiet and beautiful local italian favorite, food is always fresh and always tasty with a real homemade style (no fancy presentation needed, the flavors speak volumes) i recommend the Steak (Ny Sirloin to be exact, medium please) i brought my date here for her bday and she wants to go back again for my bday!!! Fantastico!

I was excepting a great Italian dinner when ordered Shrimp Oreganata from La Sorrentina for first time. The dish was super bland, no flavor, shrimps were cooked well though, the pasta sauce had no taste of garlic or wine. A loaf of bread was given that was not even cut into slices, Am I supposed to slice the loaf or eat it like whole? A total disappointment. the dish costs $20 which really isn't worth that much. I won't order again.

If this place was anywhere else, it would be rave-worthy. But it's in Brooklyn - home to some of the best Italian restaurants in the country. Here, it's mediocre, at best. While you won't get a bad meal here and the atmosphere is very nice, and the service is great, you can certainly do better nearby (and for less).

Delicious food, very attentive service. The veal was sooo tender! Was there for an office party - too much food, but it was so good, I couldn't stop eating everything! Calamari, clams, garlic knots, penne, more clams (red sauce, white sauce, baked-stuffed), fresh mozzarella, pizza, string beans and carrots, fresh fish . . . Yum!

We celebrated our son's 21st birthday by having dinner here. It was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Our waiter brought out a dessert plate for us as well. Thank you so much for the wonderful time
