I must say this place has been my favorite local spot for the past 10 years of living in Brooklyn. The food is amazing and authentic but the past few times the vibe and drinks haven’t been there. I use to see the bartender with long braids who kind of made the place what it was for me and I’m not sure if he is not there anymore but it hasn’t been the same the past few times and I’m hoping he return soon
Everything was amazing (the Don Luis special taco actually was just okay) but I will say this: I grew up in two major melting pot coastal areas with very large South American populstions which greatly influenced my taste in food, and the Camáron al Chipotle taco(s) are the best I've ever had. No debate, no questioning. Maybe the best food I've had in the boroughs with the shrimp tacos alone
Haven't been here in a few years, but had taco craving. Quality has certainly gone downhill on taco front. Prices were reasonable for happy hour, but the magic this place used to have might be gone. Carnitas was very dry, and not a lot of flavor compared to yesteryear.Before anyone asks, it's not covid related taste impairment, I had delicious tacos two days ago ;)
