Food is pretty good and it is not expensive. Portions are massive as well.

When I came to New York for a concert in February or March, I stayed at a ramen shop near my place. They also had sauerkraut fish, spicy hot pot, barbecue, and many other things. The food was pretty good, and it was quite crowded during mealtimes, with tables turning over frequently. On a cold night, slurping down a bowl of noodles was so satisfying, especially since the taste was really good and the price was very reasonable. If it weren't just for two people, I would have ordered a lot more.

Lanzhou Noodles (used to be located in Feilong Supermarket years ago) has a good variety in their menu from American Chinese food to noodle soups, rice dishes, skewers. They used to have Liang Pi (Cold skin noodles) but they took it out of their menu and have a Lanzhou cold noodle dish. The great thing about their food is that is it's affordable and you don't have to pay tips (optional-tip jar in the front) so no complaints. In the night time it may be harder to find a table in store but throughout the day it isn't too bad.

Always missing the sauce with my order. Found a caterpillar in the greens. Won't be ordering again.

Food is meh, hand pulled noodles is not really hand pulled. Terrible customer service and rude. Will be going to Xi’an Famous Food instead.
This spot has delicious, flavorful beef noodle soup and lamb and seaweed skewers. I highly recommend!

I am by myself and have no idea where to eat in Brooklyn. I visited few restaurant, but lastly, i came to LanZhou Noodle. You need to seat yourself and order at the counter. It is not busy the time when I visited.
The portion is way out of my expectations as I had food in Manhattan and other states, It is bigger than i thought. I thought it is not going to be this much, so i ordered 3 items.
It is really a good price for all of these together around 29dollar.

We ordered a small portion of pickled fish for several people, but were still treated sarcastically and told that this was enough and why did you care so much about your money? The meal cost over 60 dollars. We have been eating at 8 Avenue for a long time and this is the first time we have to pay extra for rice. Is the boss not making any money?

I’m Chinese from the Sichuan region. Spoiled with many good food growing up, I find many popular Chinese restaurants in NYC a scam. But this is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood (or even my favorite Chinese in the whole city in terms of price and quality ratio). We come here twice or three times a week. Every dish is fresh, authentic and affordable. Our favorite dishes are: horn pepper beef, string beans, mapo tofu and fatty beef in sour soup. No tips needed. Cashier lady is very friendly that we become friends with her.

Best Chinese food in Brooklyn. This is a rare special place, standing apart from the great sea of corporate food. Instead, the food tastes like your grandma made it.
