The baked goods are mind blowing. We got the Nutella and Rose/pistachio croissant a cinnamon bun and 2 everything seasoned baguette. I’m at a loss of words in the best possible way.

Wonderful Cafe for getting the best croissants in Brooklyn. There's a small seating area upstairs so you may not be able to find a seat depending on the time of day. If you do see a line it goes quickly so don't be deterred. They also have a variety of other baked items. If you're lucky enough to be there when they have croissant cereal, be sure to pick up a box!

It's popular because of its name and setup. Otherwise, the pastries are gross and odd with odd blends that shouldn't exist in the food world. I couldn't believe the options the cashier announced to the women in front of me. I left not wanting any of it. It's crowded for stressed out locals who want to show off their new stroller in front with their loud kids because customers are simply bored, but find it cool to be looked at standing in front of this bad bakery. It's as if locals are using this place as a power competition because it cannot be the pastries. Who can get the most attention in their power, standing in front of this shop which tried to mimic a French storefront but just has its name in calligraphy on the window and that is all. This place attracts oddity all around, even the parentless coffee addicts, who are addicted to its gross odd pastries, looking at the power play on the street or looking lost. It's a sad scene for the lost souls in and out of Apartment 4F. You would be much better off making a quick box pastry at home and inviting over whom you'd like, without the fuss. Lol

pastries are lovely but the red head working the register was super rude, we asked what else she had behind the counter (some pastries on the racks were not in the display case) and she blank face said they had a menu on the wall. How am I supposed to know what is what. The menu is in French with no description. I would expect the bare minimum customer service-wise to spend so much here. There was no one behind us in line when we asked.

Famous bakery with long but fast-moving lines. Some seating on a cramped second floor. The croissant’s delicate layers felt much thinner than typical, yet they remained so well-separated. With each bite, you can feel your teeth go through the layers one by one. The crust’s more browned (“bien cuit”) for a darker, toastier flavor.
The jambon beurre’s well made, just not to my preference. The baguette’s got a really thick crust, quite crispy, but it’s so tough to chew it felt like a workout. I know lots of people love this style.

Was extremely excited to try this place for first time. Made it here inside a minute before closing and was refused at door - when there was literally still croissants available at the counter.
Bad service, I don’t think other places would have done this.

These pastries were incredibly good. We didn’t have too much of a long line but we waited around 10 minutes. We got the chocolate chip cookie, butter, croissant, raspberry, almond croissant, cinnamon roll, and regular almond croissant. We also got an almond milk cappuccino.
There is very limited seating upstairs, we waited around 10 minutes to get a table. Overall, there are a lot of options for bread and sandwiches, as well as pastries. Highly recommend coming here on a weekday when it’s not super busy. Overall, very cute, bakery and café!

My first experience with this incredible bakery was this: I went on a 5K run beginning and ending at High Street in the morning summer heat. I was dehydrated, exhausted, and hungry. I found a bakery that had bagels on Montague and walked about 10 minutes there. When I arrived, I saw a line outside L'Appartement across the street. I was curious, and ditched my original plans to find out what was so great about this place that it deserved a line that long at 9am on a Friday morning.
Had the most incredible pistachio rose croissant and cappuccino. The croissant was lightly sweet yet massively flavorful. The cappuccino was mild and smooth and not bitter at all. Not only was my stomach filled, my soul was too. I loved the upper level seating looking over the bustle of orders below. The place is decorated tastefully, white walls, dark wooden chairs, assorted portraits with gold frames and accents.
I'm back in NYC again 6 months later and had to stop by the Brooklyn location again. Same order and just as delicious. I want to box this feeling and take it home. But I can't, so can't wait until I visit again!

I LOOOVE this place, but the almond, raspberry, nutella chocolate croissants have a little too much filling. It’s really rich, and I felt the fillings were a little too generous.
Their olive focaccia will rock your world and redefine what focaccia should taste like. Highly recommend 😍😍

Most well known for their raspberry almond croissant and I can see why! Was hoping for slightly more fruit forward punch but was def my favorite over the eye-catching pistachio rose croissant. Cinnamon bun was delicious- the frosting was perfect (but can get a little messy).
One bathroom stall upstairs, cute small seating upstairs. Line for pastries goes quickly. Good coffee that does the job.

Meet your overpriced tourist trap.
Line goes in forever for what probably was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Not a snob but could not get through 2 sops of it. Baked goods are… fine. They are not hot or even warm and staff cannot heat it up for you.
Not only will I not be coming back I urge you to find a local bakery that actually gives a * about customers and save the time and disappointment.
