Gourmet mini supermarket. Specialising in french goodies. It’s not consistent what they sell sometimes but Im happy that I can purchase good imported processed foods, local french sausages selections and french cheese. I wish the pastries are better. Its take out only for food and coffee. No sitting down table like it shows in google photos.
their egg and cheese on a roll is so buss oml 5 dollars for something like that is amazeballs

Baguettes here are just like in France. And the pastries are terrific.
I used to loveeee this place. The quality of food has declined over the past year, it doesn’t seem like they make the food fresh anymore. They’re always out of something these days and they don’t even call to ask if you would rather cancel or would you like a substitute. I ordered a savory crepe the other day and they just sent me an omelette that didn’t taste fresh with a tiny slice of a baguette. A few months ago, I ordered a croissant breakfast sandwich and the egg tasted old and dry. I was just hoping they had a bad day that time. Very sad, they used to be my favorite on lazy mornings when I would want to order in brunch.

The Ferrero Rocher that they make are terrible . Like chalk. Maybe old? So dry and tasted stale. Not done. Bought the frozen beef bourgeon absolutely terrible. Why are the vegetables CRUNCHY? Everyone talks so highly of this place. Why? Too much product to be fresh.

The name "Le French Tart" is misleading, because this place should be called "The American Flake."
I made a Grubhub order from this here for two croissant egg sandwiches and two turnovers.
First off, it took 90 minutes for the order to come when the estimated time was 25 to 35 minutes — so our wait was almost three times what we were originally told.
Secondly, as anyone would expect, the croissants were ice cold and inedible. Which makes no sense, because I watched the tracking on this. The driver waited at the restaurant for almost 30 minutes before he left, and it only took him seven minutes to drive here from the restaurant. Nevertheless the food was as cold as if it had been made last yesterday and left outside overnight in the winter evening.
Thirdly, the croissant sandwiches might as well have been made at Dunkin' — American cheese, what might as well have been microwaved eggs, and a meager hint of bacon added in. What kind of French place uses AMERICAN CHEESE?
Fourth problem: The "turnovers" were brick-hard and crumbled into pieces with every attempt of a bite.
I'm deeply disappointed that I decided to give this place a chance today.

I’ve ordered croissant with ham and cheese. Instead I’ve got croissant with ham and jam. How it’s even possible to eat???
If you are looking for a small snack or dessert it is perfect, not memorable but ok!

I ordered a mini quiche from the display and they said they'd heat it up for me. After about 10 min someone from the kitchen came out and asked if I was waiting for something then returned to the back. After another 15 min, I asked the cashier for a refund and she went and retrieved the quiche from the back. Mind you, it wasn't busy at all. The service has always been really slow but it's gotten worse. I'm giving up on what was once my local fave.
Additionally, they're upselling widely across the menu here. They charge an additional $1 if you want almond or oat milk in your coffee. Common charge is .50-$1 only in milk-heavy drinks like au laits but not a regular cup of joe! Average coffee has 2oz of milk in it. Can you imagine making $32 off a 64oz carton of almond milk?

9/01/24: Based on this bakery alone I can safely say that the French do everything right: the food may look simple, but there’s elegance in that simplicity. It’s called restraint, knowing how many ingredients to use and not one more.
Tonight I took home two sandwiches on baguette: fig and brie and Saucisson Sec, cornichons with butter. they were not huge, they were not packed with ingredients, they had exactly what I mentioned in their description- and that was just right.
That is what makes this place worth many a visit. The bakers know exactly how to apply that elegant touch to everything that they do. Be sure to try this vastly underrated spot, or you will surely regret it.
FIRST REVIEW:
drop in for the croissants and find yourself unexpectedly in some Parisian grocery. the croissants are buttery, flaky, deliciousness;
do try the ham, fig and brie! my kid loves the pain au chocolat. also a great place to get rose water and goat soap at reasonable prices. totally unexpected, it’s a gem ? of a spot. UPDATE: inspired by a CBS segment on baguettes, I had to try theirs: it’s perfect. Reasonably priced as well!

Edit 2024:
Came in during a short visit and things have changed a bit. No more indoor seating. It's been turned into more of a french product grocery store. But the baking is still there and as good as ever.
This is actually a Frenchman holding the place so it's not just for show.
I grew up eating this so I know a little bit about french cuisine and bakery.
And boy, can he bake!
So not only he wears the outfit but is rocking it.
Food is good, pastries are good, sandwiches are to die for yet very simple and they have a very friendly staff.
And you can order to go.
Will be here a week and this is my go to place for breakfast and some deserts.

I've been in a couple of times. I've had their baguette, spinach croissant, strawberry jam croissant and plain croissant. The service is mixed. The first time I went the woman was nice the other two times it was very neutral but I actually like it when I can have a quiet experience vs someone pretending to be overly friendly. I really like the pastries though and will be back. All around good. The spinach croissant they also sell at my coffee shop but it's less expensive at this place.

Down from my place, but I’m not impressed. Barely mediocre, yet charges as you’d stereotypically expect from a French place
