Used to be our go to spot for French palmier.

Bought two along with other pastries this morning with an excitement but left with a disappointment. It’s too doughy with lack of buttery flavor. The recommended chocolate custard sadly lacked in the amount of custard let alone chocolate flavor. What happened to this place?

Just had the most amazing fresh peach thyme danish fresh out the oven. It was absolutely divine- the fresh peaches really shined through, the pastry was soft and light and it wasn’t too sweet. Just perfect! Love their croissants and other pastries as well.

I’ve had a LOT of croissants in New York, this was probably the best. (The plain, of course.) Perfectly cooked, buttery, melt in your mouth. Can’t wait to come back!

This place used to be managed and run very friendly and very nice for many years by two local young guys, recently the owner showed up and started working there, unfortunately, this guy has an attitude and very unfriendly approach, very pushy, you can see the difference now, no customers and no lines because he managed to make the customer not to come back and I am one of them.

The best croissants in the neighborhood, hands down. Truthfully, every baked good I ever get from here is the best. We love the croissants (plain, sweet, and savory), the Madelines, and the brioche bread. The brioche is my go-to when I’m baking a French toast casserole. Their desserts are also fantastic and frequently come in individual servings which is perfect for entertaining. They are a regular stop for me in the neighborhood. Staff are always kind and super helpful!

They also have a plethora of grocer goods imported from France. So what if you can’t get to Paris? Just come here and Le French Tart Deli may do the trick.

We’ve been here a couple times and each time we leave disappointed by the coffee and pastries. Being a French deli you’d assume they’d have a great croissant but always stale and dense. Much better options in the neighborhood, skip.

We got coffee and 4 pastries to try just for fun. Great staff - they’re French and know wtf they’re talking about.

Disappointing croissant, misleading sign that says best croissant in the city... It was so dry and dense, if a French is behind this business, they are not real.

It’s really sad how customer service and food safety have gone downhill. This is my second time having a negative customer service experience here. After clicking away on the POS checkout system and casually touching his hair, I asked the associate to change gloves before grabbing the baked goods for me. This led to an awkward pause and eye roll. Then after changing gloves, he proceeded to touch the screen again and disgruntedly said “I don’t like being asked things twice, so I’ll just change my gloves again” and then repeated this same line a second time, combined with “I don’t like hearing it from my bosses either”. The interaction was uncomfortable and offputting, enough so to deter me from visiting the shop again. However, if adequate staff training were put in place I would reconsider, since I enjoy supporting small local businesses.

They always have freshly baked pastries on Wednesdays due to Tuesdays being the day off, but unfortunately, in the morning, one female retailer sold me hard, cold, and tasted kind of unfresh croissants.... dunno know why but,
Thank you!
