This place has a ton of potential, however, the food is below average and half of my party of four became sick the following day.I came here for my birthday with my wife and two of my friends. My wife wanted escargot and onion soup and I ended up finding this place that offered both. When we arrived, the place was packed which filled me with optimism about the meal to come. We waited about 15 minutes before we were seated. We ordered escargot, onion soup, deviled eggs, the duck salad, the beef burger, soup of the day, and potato au gratin. The escargot was very disappointing. The escargot and potatoes came out haphazardly dumped out on a plate. (I expect more from a French restaurant when it comes to presentation). The taste was mediocre. The deviled eggs were nothing special, basically tasted like your standard deviled eggs you get at a family picnic and doesn’t warrant the price. I will not speak of the burger because my friend likes his burgers well-done for some stupid reason. The potato au gratin was ok but nothing special. My duck salad was not good. The very few pieces of smoked duck were delicious, however the rest of the duck tasted like it was boiled and mushy. However, The onion soup was outstanding. It had a rich, full-flavored broth and a good amount of cheese.Overall, the owner should seriously consider replacing the chef with someone who respects and has an intimate knowledge of French cuisine.

Lamb burger and veggie pizza were good. Took a little while to turn out food, but overall a good spot!

The only reason why the rating is so high from other reviewers is because there’s really not many alternatives in the area for dinner. Food is not that good. Sorry!

Such a cozy spot with friendly atmosphere and excellent service. The lamb burger was juicy and stuffed with feta. Duck confit salad is also a fav. Prosecco washed it all down..yum. Street parking is always easy to find on a sat afternoon.

Wow, last night just seemed to be a perfect evening. Wanted to try a place that was close to my friend's house and ended up finding a gem. We both had worked later than usual, and we both arrived about 8pm. There were a couple of tables available and we took the table on the far end of the restaurant. My friend had a huge and expensive bag and did not want it on the floor nor on the radiator next to us. The 1st person could not find 5 when the owner came over. He grabbed one from the closet without a fuss. He even made a few jokes about it, and I was laughing my head off!! That's how you start a great evening. This place is so cozy and romantic, and the staff is super attentive. It was the right amount of attention we both needed after our long day. Barry was our waiter and had such a good demeanor. He shared the specials of the night, including oysters, for a lower price!!! There was no way I could resist oysters! The other special was Cod and shrimp with a hint of curry on a bed of mashed potatoes. Let me tell you how good this dish was!! Although we shared that main, there was nothing left, and my friend eats very little food. We also indulged in a fried calamari appetizer prior to the Cod dinner. Totally forgot about our drinks!! My friend had the muscadet, crisp and dry, while I had Cardero Maduro brown ale on tap, which was quite nice. The reason why I went 5 in rating was all the above.; good, service and the ambiance! It is certainly a place to revisit. Btw, the bread is so fresh!!!

The food was mediocre. Thus the 3. Service was attentive but felt the pressure to "turn a table" - can be forgiven. It is a business. But with so so food. Can't really appreciate it. The atmosphere was overall probably the best part. But for me - that's the least important. Will not return. I had dinner. The reviews seem to really be stellar for the brunch. Maybe that's the trick. Oh well.

Amazing food. The skirt steak was delicious, crispy and perfectly cooked. The wine and dessert was fantastic. The servers were very kind.

The owner booted us from our table after we had been seated, never really apologized, which forced us to eat at the bar, where he then forced us to move again. Bartender was nice, food was good not great. But service was lacking. Also watched a food runner drop half our appetizer on the floor, and just bring it out as is, nothing said. Unfortunate, as I really wanted to love the place..

This is a lovely stop in Brooklyn--a French café with a horse theme and heated outdoor seating area. We went for weekend brunch. The food was fantastic but I had to remove a star for service. Our party of four was seated immediately indoors and within a few minutes, we ordered our drinks and food. I had a fresh, lovely mimosa that wasn't too sweet, and my husband had a Bloody Mary that was spicy and delicious. Usually, I don't like them but this one was enjoyable. My kids ordered fresh mint lemonade that would be wonderful on a summer day. We had to wait about 20 minutes for our drinks. 45 more minutes passed and I asked our waitress when we could get the deviled eggs we ordered for an appetizer. She said she forgot to put them in and that our meals were almost ready, so we never got them. This was disappointing. After almost an hour overall, we finally got our food. I had an omelet with a little too much cheese, but the roasted potatoes it came with were delicious. My husband had Merguez, which was a lamb sausage and lentil dish topped with egg. He enjoyed it but it was a small portion for the price. My daughter ordered quiche but it was bland and mushy, with a soft wet crust. She loved the fries, and my son enjoyed his burger. We noticed that other tables got their food faster, and other tables were served bread. We were not. If we are in Brooklyn again, we will give it another chance since most of the food was good, but I'd rate it a 3.5 due to the service and a couple of issues. They make it very clear that they only accept Cash or AmEx.

We took some take out at le Paddock An order of french fries ,two pizzas and an order of calamari .The order of french fries was greasy, soggy and old .As if they were from previous day and the cook had tried to revive them. Unacceptable !!The order of calamari should be renamed to Green peppers with some calamaris . The plate was filled with huge long peppers and in the middle there were just a few of calamaris but the bad thing was the calamaris were not crispy at all but rather soft and soggy .A very disappointing experience at Le Paddock . If we had dine in we would have most definitely returned the fries. Question Does Le Paddock reserve the older food from day before for take out ?

Le Paddock is a great gem in Windsor Terrace. The family did brunch one late Sunday morning and overall it was a solid experience at this equestrian themed restaurant. I would 100% recommend you check it out if you're in the neighborhood. Pros: + Delicious burger + Chill outdoor, intimate neighborhood vibes + Friendly service + Exceptional fries. Perfectly crispy + Close to Prospect Park + Great for friends, family brunch Possible Cons: - Amex or Cash only - Burger cooking was a tiny bit off - Rare burger came out too rare and medium was a bit too well done.

Food was good. Menu prices were good. Atmosphere was a neighborhood joint that drew several families with small kids. Small dining space that filled quickly but turned over quickly too. Small space was a bit too loud for me when tables were full. Service was meh. Staff was friendly enough but Long waits for first order, drink refill and asking for extra ketchup came close to giving me an argument. Importantly, the place charged a credit card surcharge that was not mentioned on the menu at time of ordering. I'm sure of this because they were VERY clear on multiple signs that they only took cash or American Express. Only found out about the surcharge when the final bill arrived, and they really should tell you about that charge before you order. It might even be the law in NY/ NYC but I'm not sure. I might go back but the surcharge thing really pisses me off, especially when the tip gets included in the service charge percentage calculation.
